I was telling my kids about this just last week.  Not the mis-labeled streets, just how in England they have these reminders on the pavement so you don't get killed.

A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little gray hair he had left. Amazing, he thought as he flew down I-94, pushing the pedal even more.

Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a state trooper behind him, lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, What am I doing? I'm too old for this, and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch, and said, "Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."

The old gentleman paused. Then he said, "Years ago, my wife ran off with a state trooper. I thought you were bringing her back."

"Have a good day, sir," replied the trooper

Naps when you wake up and think it’s tomorrow morning are pretty cool.

#5 is my favorite but if it’s only one forever, gotta go with #7. Never know when you’ll need a spit ball gun.

They put invisible dye in there that turns red if you pee.

Negative. Every public pool would be scarlet.

My post was in jest. That’s what the lifeguards told us before swimming lessons every summer. It worked.

At the end of the day, when every other fancy pen has clogged or gone missing, you’ll dig the ol’ No 7 out of the back of your glove box, or bottom of the drawer, and it will save the day. And should you need an emergency tracheotomy, it’ll do.

They aren't nice pens but you know what I love at work are these guys. Something about the simple functionality. They stay behind my ear well when I'm moving around, too.

I liked the G2s a lot when I was in school, though.

If I have a constant supply of immediate replacements? #2 in 0.5mm. Those get sloppy and imprecise before they run dry, especially if you do very much underlining.

Otherwise, #1 also in 0.5mm (micro).

But I normally roll with a 0.4mm Pilot Hi-Tec-C.

Is there any chance you can start a thread for those Mike posts? I’d love to come to this thread and never see that idiot again.
