Why is this a game changer?

You don't think that it's politically impactful? Shit the NYT piece brought out substantial opposition to the withdrawal from Afghanistan. I mean usual suspects like a Cheney, but nonetheless.

That russian assets tried to pay the taliban to kill US personnel? Well considering the signature of a lot of Talib/AQ shit was from those two countries (Russia and Iran), and military grade, we kind of know it was happening.

I see the goal posts moving. Look the Afghan bounty charge was serious, and was timed to influence political debates wrt the Afghan withdrawal. That it is timed again now to reemerge, after sitting dormant for four years, is, I guess, for others to piece together.

Ask 956, he bumped the thread with the topic by quoting a nearly three year old post.

PSA: your friendly reminder most people have Ana on ignore and this place is much better when you do. PM me for the full list.

What I find fascinating is that if there is ever even a remote opportunity or basis to defend/exonerate/stan for Russia…Ana pops up. It could be a thread on the music board talking about how Russian synth-pop of the early 90s was pathetic and unoriginal, and Ana would pop up to tell you that you are fake news, and actually it defined the genre for all time.

The vast majority of the related posts are responses to posters like you saying dumb shit like "The Steele dossier is the bible....Dead on balls accurate." and then laughing at you when I am proven correct.

A better display of your straw-manning doesn’t exist. This post is perfect. If you can find any post where I said the Steele dossier is “dead-on, balls accurate,” I’ll donate $100 to the Human Fund in your name.
You take the opposite extreme: the burden of proof for anything that puts Russia in a remotely negative light is “beyond even the merest shadow of a doubt,” and the benefit of the doubt you give Russia is larger than the country’s landmass.

Does "discredited" mean "dead-on, balls accurate?"  Because I have a confuse.

Lol, what a clown you are.  You pretend to be some kind of noble libertarian and freedom lover but you have shown nothing but contempt for the brave people defending their country against the clearest cut case of illegal aggression in 80 years.  And try desperately to pin the blame on “your” country instead of the one doing the rapes and murders.

I have so much more respect for out and out MAGATs, at least they are dealing with genuine cognitive disadvantages.

We can all shit on Ana without bringing early 90’s Russian synth-pop into the fold.

A true art form that rose from the ashes of communism that ushered in a  proto democratic feeling to a populace hungry for the Pepsi Cola equivalent of pop music.

No need for this monumental leap in musicality to catch strays here.

Fair.

And will do.

Although I’ll note that I didn’t say the Dossier as a whole was accurate…I observed that when a subject of the Dossier had facts come out….they matched up. So the characterization of the dossier as a whole as “discredited” is a plainly false statement.
I also wanted to post the pic of Marisa, because I remain quite sweet on her.

lol, is Ana my ex-wife? he had that shit in the holster just waiting for the day to throw it back in Brisket's face. it doesn't even make the assertion that Ana purports, but I can understand that sarcasm, nuance, and hyperbole don't translate well to the russian mind,

IIRC, she posted under the name "Mother Russia" back in the hornfans days. I don't know what kind of weird shit, nor the projection involved, entails. And don't really care to.

Speaking of propaganda strawmanning. I have no such contempt for the Ukrainian people. It's the people that are moving the pieces in this little great powers drama that has been playing out for the last 30 years that have absolute contempt for the Ukrainian people. They are happy to continuing using Ukraine as a pawn to their own devices.

No, but it was really all about the friends we met along the way. And horrific war crimes. And a horrible new way to wage war. And yet again abandoning allies in the worst way. But mostly new friends. And unified outrage over racism and oligarchs and war crimes. That did nothing to change fuck about shit.

We should all take a group photo holding up heart shaped hands,  with a Ukraine flag, then hug or fuck or something.

/Retreats to sadness.

Could really use a Warthog video right now. Alas, no.

Putin fucked around and now he's finding out.

Driving the news: Trump wrote on Truth Social Wednesday that if a deal to end the war is not reached "soon," he would have "no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries."

Trump said he wasn't "looking to hurt Russia" but that the actions were necessary to end the war.

"I'm going to do Russia, whose Economy is failing, and President Putin, a very big FAVOR," he added.

Putin, when reached for comment....

This is him looking to appear tough on Russia by doing something that'll have no actual effect. We've already sanctioned Russia just about every way we possibly can.

This was my first reaction as well.  "Biden already handled that you fucking dolt."

Trump has argued that Zelenskyy should have made a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin to avoid the war, a stance he reiterated in the Fox News interview.

"I could have made that deal so easily, and Zelenskyy decided that 'I want to fight,'" Trump said.

Trump went on to compare the number of tanks each country had, emphasizing that Russia had more.

"You don't fight those," Trump said.
