March 25, 20241 yr You are correct. He hates any kind of heat on chopped as a judge. And cannot cook with chilies of any type. His best cooking is on Guys Ranch Kitchen where it’s very relaxed and it’s not competition.

April 1, 20241 yr Britt did a lot of work in 40 minutes. Kudos to her - she earned that one (rather than just being good enough while an opponent Fs up).
April 1, 20241 yr I knew Mei Lin was done with that kabob Im hoping someone other than Maneet winsWhen Mei Lin said I’m going for charred over smoky I told my wife she just fucked up. I thought Britt certainly hammered her dish I really wanted Amanda in there. She is a huge person but really is graceful in her cooking. Does so much in a short time. Mahneet nearly lost it on the pressure cooker.

April 2, 20241 yr I’m just not into maneet. Talented yes. Seems very self absorbed and plays to the camera I ate at her joint in Nashville a few years ago. It was the best Indian “inspired” food I ever had. Great service. Antonia knows how to run a joint as well.

April 8, 20241 yr I’ve eaten at Le Bernadin in Philly, Michael Mina’s place in Vegas, and Micheal white’s due Mari in Jersey.
April 8, 20241 yr The randomizer for the finale needs to get rid of equipment and change it to cuisine. So that some people can't just default to the only cuisine they ever seem to cook in competition. Edited April 8, 20241 yr by Js1
April 8, 20241 yr I hated that result for Antonia. Fucking cacao pods. Luau leaves. Name root. You can have different ingredients without getting stupid. The equipment this is silly. I’d rather the final four be more cooking like iron chef. One or two ingredients or things and make three dishes.

April 8, 20241 yr Final battle hit on one of my pet peeves wrt cooking competitions. Spoiler No one should be preparing a crudo or tartare or salad as a dish in a cooking competition. It's a cop out IMO. Cook something.

Seems like this show is rigged almost. wrong person won. also in the semis I knew Britt was done when she used beer as her base. That doesn’t fly with those haughty judges back to the final, I knew manheet was gonna win when the judges said they couldn’t taste the cacao in Antonia’s dish and when guy said it was a tie in plating and taste meatball and sloppy joe. Please Edited April 9, 20241 yr by closetohumping

January 27Jan 27 I like the winners now judges. And not surprised on Simon, guessing the brain tumor treatment makes it hard for him to chase chef’s around the kitchen and do all the work. And thank god no Luetke - sore loser Edited January 27Jan 27 by Js1
February 18Feb 18 Hunter doing half the commentary for the qualifiers is....a choice. Surprised he and Justin Warner split the winners last week - 2 for each. He just doesn't describe the food and techniques like Justin does. It seems a huge mismatch. I know Tiffany Faison is moving to correspondent for the main bracket, but feels like they should have started her off there. Brooke wasn't available or was unwilling to come judge with Mei and Maneet for qualifiers? I know she's a main bracket judge. Ps, I love Mei Lin. She's so badass. Edited February 18Feb 18 by Js1

February 24Feb 24 Very glad there's no East/West this year. Just 4 regionals Though you can tell in the qualifiers who is on their 2nd qualifier and who is brand new. Kind of an unfair advantage. Lots of fuckups with time
