there's a combat sim youtuber that builds these sort of scenarios in DCS World and tries em out, including this very idea of a time on target mass missile swarm

Having seen russian combat readiness recently, I don't think they'd be able to field even half the number of planes and missiles that they're armed with in this sim. Plus the sim is more of an air combat and not naval combat, so the surface unit air defense isn't all that realistic. Interesting what-if though. He's got a bunch more like this
