  • Had a great time in Anfield hospitality on Saturday (even though I’m an Arsenal fan). Took some work folks. The new Anfield is very nice and the Chemistry Lounge hospitality was excellent. Three cours

I know quite a few of us go back to hornfans/early shag with the LFC threads. I tip my cap to everybody that’s been on the journey. Well deserved celebrations today.

Down in Playa and had this made for the game room. Hopefully the Mayan gods can help us bring home the league title. (Spelling error gives it character I say)

Mo botched it

I didn’t see why Keita wasn’t in. Knock or something? I’d like to see him come on if available.

Finally bit him

It was coming. Hopefully Klopp has a come to Jesus meeting with him and it doesn’t cost us.

We’ll get some of those with him. Oh well.

Need some subs in the midfield. Gini and hendo are passengers

this.  they are going to find maguire on a cross and game on.  need to break the current rhythm.

Good change IMO. Mo seems frustrated

too close 2 weeks in a row.

3 points.  on to the horns.

so i'm going to go ahead and come out wholly against henderson.  i know he's popular but he is a liability and when he starts he is a gravity well of negativity.  for the past 2 years and especially last campaign look at his passing chart and it's 80% backwards.

"an ounce of henderson oil can quash a gallon of english industry". (quote from a comment by an english fan on an article leading up to Russia).

I’m good with this win. Klopp now has ammo to tell Alisson to stop screwing around. Gomez was great. Keita needs to be out there. Get through the break and be ready for Wembley.

The whole sequence of the goal was a nightmare. Gomez, Milner, Henderson, VvD and Alisson were all complete crap during that thing.

Is fucking right. Milner plays Henderson into trouble, Henderson plays Gomez into trouble, Gomez plays Henderson into trouble, Henderson plays Virgil into trouble, and Alisson plays himself into trouble.

I hope Klopp has a serious word with Alisson. I have no issue with him playing as a sweeper keeper but for fucks sake you don’t have to try a take on every game

Last weekend at the Brighton match.

Well atleast we have liverpool....

But what a shitshow to give up first goal of season

So those expecting Henderson to be minimized are in for a shock as he just signed a new long term contract today. So better get used to see him.

Not shocking. Decent player with a lot of heart and a love for the kit. Not saying he's great, but every Liverpool team needs a guy who bleeds 'pool.

5 year deal is all I'm seeing. Nothing about the per week or total GBP.

How much do you think LFC will charge him?

Lallana sent home from England duty with a groin injury. Not good for him.

What? That guy never gets injured.

So Lazar seems smart. Had a chance to go elsewhere and get a fresh start. Teams agree to the transfer, he goes there, doesn't sign, and comes back to Melwood. Klopp releases his final roster for the season....Lazer is not listed on said roster. Smart move, Lazar!

Would not mind reigniting interest in Zielinski. Our scouting department has been the tits.

So Lovren is now out through late October. Joe Gomez, the position is yours.

Dejan Lovren set to be sidelined for another month with stomach injury

Dejan Lovren is unlikely to make his first appearance of the season until the end of October.

The 29-year-old defender returned from to Melwood in late August after participating in Croatia’s run to the World Cup final, but arrived back with a stomach muscle issue that he admitted the club were “not happy about.”

Lovren said that he was “suffering a lot of pain” and would see a specialist doctor in the Netherlands.

He also admitted to playing with the pain during the World Cup’s latter stages, saying “I played with pain and those three games killed me.”

Now, it’s reported that Lovren has resumed individual training for the first time, but isn’t expected to be back in first-team action until after the October international break.

Such an extended period on the sidelines is frustrating for Liverpool, especially as Jurgen Klopp‘s side have a series of big fixtures before October’s internationals.

Fortunately, Joe Gomez‘s form since being given the opportunity alongside Virgil van Dijk has been a huge bonus, and Klopp will be hoping that the 21-year-old can remain fit for the next month.

Joel Matip is the Reds’ only other centre-back and he’ll be expected to deputise for the League Cup third round tie against Chelsea later in the month.

If Lovren’s return is as expected, he will be available for the Premier League match at Huddersfield on October 20, with games against Red Star Belgrade and Cardiff City also that week – perhaps offering a good opportunity to bring him back into the side and rest Gomez.

Any tips on going to Anfield for a first timer? Going for a work thing on the 22nd.

The Anfield Museum is pretty kickass. The Albert is a nice pub that's right next to the stadium. Don't eat the English Breakfast at the Georgie Porgy Cafe. Where are you sitting?
