March 23Mar 23 Excellent finale. It really sticks with you. Yes, Innie Mark is a bit of a teenage bitch but you understand why he does it. Plus he did what he said he was going to do in the first episode, get Ms. Casey out. The marching band scene was fantastic. Let's hope it doesn't take 3 years before season 3 comes out.

For all they know ,if he crosses that barrier, they’re going to take down Lumon entirely and all of these innies are going to get wiped away. I think it’s just gut instinct that she runs.” she is guessing. season 3 script isn’t even complete yet Also, abandoning Dylan wasn’t part of the plan nor ideal at the time While I agree that the writers can always change directions, Britt Lower is not guessing at who she iss portraying in a particular scene. She plays each "character" differently and I believe she has said so explicitly. The writers/directors are absolutely telling her who she is portraying in those scenes.

Yeah, at the Paley event, they discussed about different choices and tells that they're pretty sure and/or pleasantly surprised fans will pick up on which moment is Helly/Helena. Lower didn't go into details of the acting choices but referenced how her and Stiller worked on the struggling to turn the computer on as one tell.
March 24Mar 24 SIAP but think about Gemma's outie experience in the last episode. She is suddenly surprised by Mark when he leads her out of Cold Harbor. They escape to the elevator, climbing over a dead man. Then she's Ms. Casey. Then her outie resumes consciousness in the locked stairwell seeing her husband walk towards another woman and ignoring her pleas. I'm fairly certain she doesn't know that Mark has been severed and does she even comprehend that she's severed? And does she have an easy method to get out the building including potentially having to walk up many levels to get to the ground floor. All while the building is in some red alert emergency status? The writers could somewhat get out of that problem if Cobel has discovered a method to get her or Devon into the building to assist an escape but we just didn't see it yet. It's reasonable to think that alone, Gemma would soon get caught due to her disorientation and uncertainty where she is. They have a guard at the top of the elevator, it's doubtful the stairwell opens up unguarded to the outside like a fire exit. Edited March 24Mar 24 by Nice Guy Eddie
March 24Mar 24 The sound of that stairway door closing with Mark on the inside is stuck in my head. As soon as that happened, I knew he wasn't leaving. He did his part, he completed his side of it, but his survival instincts kicked in and he couldn't risk not existing any more. Such a great way to end the season and leave numerous paths open for future stories in season 3 and beyond. Plenty of unanswered questions to be dealt with later, but still a satisfying ending. That's a difficult balance to keep in tact for a show (see Lost S1-3), and can go completely off the rails and ruin the fanbase of done poorly (see Lost S4-6).
March 24Mar 24 I really hope John Turturro find the interest and energy to return for one more season, otherwise that's a really unsatisfying way for Irv to exit the show.

I've heard/read the rumors that we may have seen the end of Turturro and Walken's participation. I hope they find a way to include them at some level and there is a desire on all sides for them to return. I know they didn't do much (any?) for the marketing efforts pre and post season this year. but that can also be explained in that they may have scheduling conflicts.
March 24Mar 24 I also think Innie Mark figured that, provided Lumon doesn't murder him, Outie Mark would eventually find Gemma and explain everything. And that's outie Mark's job. Not innie Mark's job, which is to try to get laid by Helly one more time.
March 24Mar 24 Ellen DeGeneres and Portia looking very different. But seriously Tramell is such a talent. Among all other awesomeness of the show, the fact it brought that dude to the forefront is worthy of an egg party. Hopefully he shows up in other shows/movies in the interim before Season 3.

No plans just run I literally started yelling "ELAINE!!!" when Helly showed up at the end of the hall and Mark looked at her. My wife, who has seen the Graduate with me at least 5 times, didn't get it.

April 1Apr 1 A few years ago, she was in an indie movie filmed in Austin called Mr. Roosevelt. I wouldn't have heard of it if I hadn't previously gone on a couple of dates with someone who had a small speaking part in it. I'm almost certain Britt appears topless in a scene down in the Greenbelt, possibly at Twin Falls or further up near Sculpture Falls. She's got wet hair and looks a lot younger in the stills from that scene (face less angular), so I'd like to see her in other scenes and hear her voice to make certain. I'll post the photos of the scene elsewhere to get opinions. It admittedly wasn't the best flick, though.

More research is needed.

Yeah, the scene's main premise was to get the redheaded lead, Noël Wells, topless. She's not who I'm talking about. But Britt's character (almost certain it's her) is topless in it, too. I've posted a couple of photos in question in the celeb thread in IPIHB. It's obviously a minor role, but you can go check and judge for yourself.

April 14Apr 14 Wife and I are late to the party. We just started watching Season 1 about a month ago, and finished Season 2 last night. So, so good.
April 15Apr 15 so...the goats. i just can't get past the dumb goats. it's like they threw that in season 1, with an idea of what to do in season 2, but we are left knowing very little about the goat people. they were a means to an end - the end of drummond, and that's basically it? i probably missed something. it feels like the writers have lost the plot, but they are still killing it with things like the camcorder scene, the hr review, etc. milchik is fucking amazing. great season, but i'm cautious about next season. sometimes when you peel an onion too slowly, the inside gets rotten.

April 15Apr 15 I don't think the show suffers if the goats don't completely make sense. We just discovered there are several dozen innies in the choreography and merriment department. It's a weird place man.

It’s heavily implied that goat sacrifice is a thing that seems to be related to the ritual of “retiring” innies on whom they’ve been experimenting, which is apparently commonplace enough that Lady Brienne clearly had gotten sick of it enough that she didn’t want to play any further role. This widespread practice raises other questions: Who the hell have the other MDR team members been trying to divine their tempers? How many are there? Are we going to see them escape, too? What would be the implications if word got out to the wider public?
April 17Apr 17 I just saw that Tramell is in the new Mission Impossible film. To put it mono-syll-abic-ally... Fuck yes.
April 17Apr 17 Wife and I are still processing what we finished up on Sunday evening. My idea, and I'm sure others have had the same, and it disturbed my wife when I mentioned it: Spoiler Gemma is a child of Jame's. Remember, Jame has had other children, and just a hunch, but anyone that will let his heiress daughter get a chip stuck in her head clearly doesn't care about life or death matters on his other children.
June 21Jun 21 So, Mark did 25 MDR files that were all innies of some form for Gemma. Were the other MDR employees working on Gemmas innies as well, or other projects? Any leading theories on the end goal for Lumon in all this? Given all the religious themes I’m leaning towards them creating their own afterlife “free of suffering”

July 25Jul 25 Just got done binging. Great show. Needs better editing, though. They love to stretch 20 second scenes into 5 minute scenes. We wasted a ton of time with Reghabi for that subplot to all come to nothing.
