Wouldn't Mark immediately know who Helly really is after reintegration? When Irv wakes up at the beginning of the episode they played a "ding" elevator noise, made me think they were in the Lumon building somehow. I hope innie Helly is pissed that Mark banged her outie. 9 hours ago, Ted Lange said: Hide contents Reintegration isnt immediate. I takes multiple treatments. Spoiler I am not 100% sure that reintegration is "both ways" either. Maybe not immediately. Mark Scout might have fully integrated Mark S, but maybe Mark S is going to need some time to integrate out. That was the feeling I got when Mark S started seeing Ms. Casey/Gemma when he was banging Helena.

And he saw numbers 5714… With the A=1 B=2 encoding, 5=E 1=A 7=G 1=A 14=N = EAGAN Edited February 8Feb 8 by Captainant

February 9Feb 9 Fire red hair, Hell in the name, Goat horn eyebrows…… Twins were look-a-likes IMO or animatronic Biggest not Helly R tell for me was her reaction to the goat tunnel last episode. Almost tried to talk Mark out of it when Helly R would have been first in. this was interesting as well..What’s for dinner? https://x.com/alwad3i911pd/status/1887914732859875482 Edited February 9Feb 9 by ChickenSandwich

February 9Feb 9 Wow listening to the production podcast while walking my dog this morning - EVERYTHING was practically done. Even Irving's dream sequence! They were out in the Catskills for almost 5 weeks shooting the one episode, and John Tuturro was really actually on the ice yelling up at Adam Scott actually up on the cliff. Crazy. They had to hike 30 minutes out to the cave to shoot the scene where they found the book. Crazy amount of practical effects and production work, really outstanding stuff

She had a subtle shock reaction and I knew it wasn’t Helly. The tent scene was awesome when her expression changed.
February 10Feb 10 Man, I thought I was confused after season 1. That was nothing compared to how confused I am now ... nsiap ... BTW, if you’ve always wanted to join the Macro Data Refiners but flunked the Lumon interview or just don’t want your brain severed, you can play along at home: https://lumon-industries.com/ I completed Long Branch, but I still have no idea what the objective really was, or what I did right lol.
February 10Feb 10 They were really inside the Lumen building on the Severance floor, right? If they were outside in Dieter Eagan National Forest they would have had to use the Overtime Contingency so the Innies would have awareness outside of the Severance floor. Instead Helena told Seth to turn off the Glasgow Block which presumptively allows Outties to retain awareness inside the Severance floor.

I'm sure y'all are already familiar with this YouTube account (if not, you're surely aware of the genre), but they always have good breakdowns on clues and theories. This guy is pretty adamant that, yes, it's some sort of holodeck (maybe the Exports Hall) below them. Lots of other things are also discussed. The video is long (almost 30 minutes). I watched it Friday evening, so I don't remember the exact timestamps, but he floats that theory a few times in this.

February 11Feb 11 this show is so fucking brilliant. and damn, i can spend hours on Reddit reading Severance theories. hell, early in season 1, people were already theorizing that Helly was really an Eagan based on clues i completely missed. this show better sweep up the Emmys next year. Britt Lower deserves an Emmy just based on her facial expressions:
February 11Feb 11 Yeah the lack of steam coming out when they were breathing or speaking was odd. The only time it actually happened was right at the end with Irving. I had holodeck or deep dream state vibes until the end. Edited February 11Feb 11 by mdmost

February 14Feb 14 Author Ms. Hwang's comment about "it makes them feel human" made me think of the book Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguru. (spoiler for NLMG below) Spoiler It's about teenagers at a boarding school living the lives of rich people, but they're never told what happens after they graduate. Plot twist is that the world has perfected cloning and the kids are being raised only as medical donors, to sacrifice their bodies piece by piece as people in the real world need them. Of course most of them die young. The school itself was a project to try to raise the kids humanely, even knowing their fates after graduation.
February 14Feb 14 The acting on this show is incredible. No “fireworks” in this episode but I thought it was great. Helly talking to Mark in the hallway, Milchick’s performance review and confrontation with Mark in the elevator, and the reintegration flashes with Mark and Ms Casey at the end. All really great scenes.
February 14Feb 14 One interesting thing I noticed at the funeral was the dot matrix banner had the numbered quarters that Irving had worked printed out. I paused and did some quick math, showing that Irving had worked for three years and that it was quarter 800-something, meaning they’ve been doing this ongoing mysterious and important work for 200+ years, and they've been measuring it in sequential quarters. February 16Feb 16 You know, Mark was right. The funeral was dumb. Irving isn't dead any more than someone at your work on indefinite leave is dead. From their perspective, will they ever see him again? Maybe, maybe not. That doesn't tend to happen with dead people.

The innie/outie relationship is complex, but in the end “firing”’someone will basically kill their innie, they likely won’t be back. That said I wonder if Irv was reintegrated. His outie seems to know a lot.
