Texas got screwed.  It's bullshit that the committee saddled the Horns with a three side that has a higher RPI, and who already beat Texas head to head on the year.

Absolutely.  Who in his right mind would turn down a chance to coach the Longhorns but jump at a chance to coach Mississippi State?  Something dirty is happening here.  Street agents, probably.  I bet

While Texas got screwed, I feel confident that the Horns will handle A&M pretty easily.  The law of averages just won't let the Big 12 Champs drop to 1-6 against SEC competition.

I don’t like trying to bunt here with 2 strikes

You just called that a ball, blue!!!

Lol @ the announcer saying Petrinsky wasn’t the guy you should set up to drive in base runners.

Skied the shit out of it but still got it out easily.  Hit that ball hard.

Who did we start on mound? Bocci?

Shugart.

“Do you think he impeded the catcher’s throw.”

”It absolutely did.”

Bull. Shit.

Bad call I think. But could’ve gone either way

They just read the rule out loud. By rule that was the wrong call.

How so?  By rule is was the RIGHT call.

i don't know. i don't think it was a great call, but i get it. it could easily look to the ump like he jumped across the plate on a hit and run. pretty much everything about it, including david pierce coming out for discussion was proper baseball, imo.

What?  He didn't mean to do it, but your body can't end up in the opposite batter's box.  Come on, now.

The rule states that if he *impedes the catcher’s throw* by ending up in front of him or across the plate then it’s the right call. The throw was not impeded in any way whatsoever, he was so far out of the play that he didn’t come close to impeding him.

kid hugging that souvenir was one of the cooler things i've seen today.

LOL . . . OK, I'll let it go, after I say this:  if that had happened when TSU was batting y'all would have been screaming INTERFERENCE.  He absolutely impeded the throw.

Carry on.

I don’t believe he impeded the throw. Not even a little bit.
