If taking this series loss means we get Daly and Campbell going at the plate, I'll make that trade.

It seems like every time we bring someone in to start the 8th with a lead we end up going to Nixon in the 8th anyway.

To be fair that wasn't on Southard.

Man, take the out at first for fucks sake.

Both fuck ups from trying to throw guys out on throws that probably weren't there.

I mean the walk was but yeah the run isn't really his fault.

Should we have let pete come out for the 8th?

He was at 103.  I would have considered it.

Where was that pop and throw last time?  I'm not sure why he tried to throw from his knees and leaning back before.

Nixon struck that guy out two pitches earlier.   Don't remember seeing umpiring as terrible as it is now...

The lead off walk sure as shit was.  The guy that scored.

Right. I don't expect Southard to come in and K 3 straight. While we're trying to figure this staff out it isn't optimal for our catcher to throw one into center field and get the tying run to 3rd.

Pierce overthought that one. You ask Nixon to get 6 outs even if it burns his availability for tomorrow. Trying to squeeze 3 outs from Southard was dumb.

Pierce isn't puting Nixon in for 2 innings this early in the season. I get it's conference play but DP is still trying to figure out what he has. We have a lot of baseball to play. And again - Southard could have gotten out of that if Silas doesn't commit the error.

Well he’s going to end up throwing him for 2 innings anyway…..
