Houston has a case of the “Texas Longhorns” in which they are getting decent looks, just nothing is going in.

Can’t finish at the rim and not getting their misses back that they usually do

A bit of a liberal definition of a “shot”

He was in the air with his hand on the ball when the contact occurred. 50/50.

Problem for any team playing Nova is that you only have 6 fouls to give. After that, it's pretty much 2 points on every foul. Such is what happens when a team is at 85% from the stripe.

C’mon, H.  I mortgaged my mobile home on you for this game.

I liked Nova as a FF team early in the season but then they sorta went bi-polar for a bit in the season.  I’d sacrifice both my ovaries for Wright to UK.

Such an intense game. You never see Gillespie neutered but has been tonight.

Difference is Nova plus 8 from the line. They own that aspect.

Not really. Every possession is a war. It's not high scoring but it's intense. Very.

Houston finally found something.  And it’s not like Villanova was shooting lights out either.  When they were up 11, Houston actually had the better shooting percentage.

The problem for Houston is Villanova FTs are auto-points.

Such a classic Nova team that plays composed and executes when they need to. They've done a good job using Houston's aggressive nature against them.

Yeah, mentioned above that Nova was plus 8 at the stripe at the half.

UH has a couple of fouls to play with. Best served staying out of the bonus but that clashes with its defensive intensity.

Helluva game.

They don't miss at the line.

So hard to beat.

15 missed threes ain’t helping UH

Houston killing themselves desperately taking these 3 point shots that aren't falling.

Houston is 1/15 or something sshit like that from 3.

That’s not going to get you to the FF.

That is what has killed Houston completely, 1 3PM is so unlikely lol

No doubt their shot selection has been quite suspect of late, really forcing up some garbage.

I don't think it's garbage. The defense is this game is dictating so much.  Both teams have been outstanding.

Still, UH will regret not going inside more.
