May 28, 20187 yr It seems like the air conditioning unit is causing internet outages, I suspect it's voltage fluctuations. I've got the modem plugged into an inexpensive surge protector but am wondering if something more might be needed. Anyone else get surly over this problem? Do I need a power conditioner?
May 28, 20187 yr You may need an automatic voltage regulator (AVR) or a uninterruptible power supply (UPS) if you're getting spikes.
May 28, 20187 yr Author My suspicion is that it's voltage drops that are causing the problem, not spikes. Suppressing spikes I kind of understand, mini "brown-outs" I'm not sure what to do. Can an AVR adequately pick up the voltage to ensure smooth power?

May 30, 20187 yr How about a shampoo and conditioner all in one? That's pretty powerful. You can't argue with results. Edited May 30, 20187 yr by Jimbaround
