Inter-confederation playoff winner 1 (UAE or Australia or Peru) (A2) go into Group D with France, Denmark and Tunisia.

Inter-confederation playoff winner 2 (Costa Rica or New Zealand) (E2) go into Group E with Spain, Germany and Japan.

So if we advance 2nd in our group we'd likely catch Holland in the Round of 16.

I could see the games being officiated very positively towards the Arab counties. That is my only concern about Iran.

Iran isn’t Arab, they are Persian.

Belgium vs France or Spain in the Round of 16 will be fun

Cowboys TDay, USA/Engerland  World Cup Fri Nov 25, Baylor@Texas Nov 26.   Not sure my heart and liver can handle it

From what I can gather, there will be four time slots for the group games, being 5am, 8am, 11am & 2pm (all central).  The last of the group games (this is unclear from what I read) and all of the knockout games will be in 2 time slots, 10am and 2pm.  The final will be at 7am.  Could be a lot worse.

2PM here is 10PM in Doha.  Fucking hate starting a game that late as an athlete

Well good for not losing all 3, but Croatia and Belgium are damn tough.

If by “damn tough”, you mean “old, slow, and/or frequently injured”…

…then I agree.

And there is nothing that old & slow guys love more than running after kids in the heat. ESPECIALLY European old people who have grown up playing in cool climates.

Leave Argentina out of this.

The average high in Quatar in November is 85 and average low is 67.  Doesn't seem like weather should be much of a factor.

Yeah, Belgium are tilting on the old side and as good as Hazard is, he’s always hurt.  All the ability in the world doesn’t cancel unavailability

When are wales, Scotland, and Ukraine all playing to settle this?   Can’t seem to google correctly.  Thanks

You could say that is what our country was founded on.

So you don’t know anyone from England? No one?

When it gets into the 80°s, that’s a “heat wave” that leads all of the news shows.

Going from gray days in the 40°s & 50°s to days in the upper 70°s through to the low 90°s is going to have all of their white players pink/red.

England is predominantly a young team, so they won’t be hit as hard as Croatia (old & small player pool)…

…& Belgium (old or green).

Baylor/Texas will end up on Friday.

Our draw seems reaasonable, but I don't want any part of an emotional Ukraine with the entire world rooting for them.

Ticos got turbofucked.

Wasn't thete some talk of the stadiums being open-air WITH air conditioning?

Yes, the magical air conditioning was going to allow them to host during the normal summer window.

Acceptable, if it’s a night game.  As much as CFB means to me, the WC takes that

Right.  So what's the status on that?

There was talk about Drone Clouds.   I mean, the slaves could only build so much the past 4 years.

Yes, there will be some kind of cold air being pumped in and that will help… unfortunately.

It's never a night game.  11am.

If USA game is at 11, and BU/UT is at 2, I could hang with that.   But I’ll be drunker than Ted Kennedy by the end of the 1st quarter.
