Picked this up a while ago along with its subsequent stand alone expansion, Trudograd, on Steam.  Only recently started playing it.  If you enjoyed Fallout 1 or 2, this is essentially Fallout 3 but set in the Soviet Union instead of the USA and on a slightly different timeline.

Indie title but the only real omissions I've noticed from a big studio game is no voice acting and minimal cut scenes.  The graphics are not mind blowing, they are very much in line with what you might picture when thinking of a Russian Fallout game made 30 years later.  English translation can be wonky but usually in a funny way.  Game mechanics are very much like Fallout in that there are a ton of skills and stats, a few of them way more powerful than others, and lots of ways to build a character.  Companions are in the game but just like Fallout they exist for the occasional comment on what's going on and to frustrate you in combat.
