  • This postseason has become more sentimental for me and my wife's family.  My father in law is the biggest Astros fan I know.  He watches every game without fail, even DVRing them if he can't watch liv

Obviously HOF caliber pitchers are an exception. Safe to say Javier is not close to that. He’s having a good year and had what will undoubtably be the best start of his career last time out. It doesn’t mean he’s going to get shelled today or anything but the yanks will touch him up for some runs. Stanton’s going deep, he was hot going into break and then was ASG mvp.

stanton isn’t starting g1.

Someone should tell that graphic designer that chapman is just a 7th inning setup/mop up duty guy now.

right, but if altuve is rounding the bases, it only makes sense to have chapman in the graphic.

Wait, again??? Didn't he miss some time last year on paternity leave? NTTAWWT

only their second kid. not like he's Philip Rivers or anything...

Wouldn’t surprise me if today’s games are the only ones Pressly misses. Baby was born yesterday. He has to be in Seattle by Sunday anyway as paternity leave is only 3 days.

right but it's crazy to me that his wife got pregnant again shortly after their first kid was born. she's been pregnant for most of the last two years.

Allegedly they are going to look for an opportunity to remove Altuve in Game 1, according to the pre pregame show on 790 (Michael Connors I think). So, don't freak out if he comes out.

A big Astros lead is the best opportunity

Tucker should have bunted!

Beat me to it. I was just going to fire up the Tucker should have bunted outrage.

And the Yankees are cut.  The Yankees are cut.

Throw fucking strikes Javier.  I mean, I love you and all but I like the Javier that can go more than 3 innings without getting close to 100 pitches.

Scary time here.

I would like the record to note I didn't freak out. I just pointed out that he can't keep throwing a metric shit ton of pitches every inning. This feels a little like regression.  He's always had good stuff.  He's always been able to get people out in the strike zone.  He was doing a much better job of being economical with his pitches, but that seems to be going by the wayside here lately.

He's my favorite young pitcher in the organization.  And I love them all.

I appreciate him sticking with the high inside fb and him not getting rattled by missing a little bit. Keep punching them inside.
