Beating Cole in game 3 at Yankee Stadium would be the sweetest kill shot of all time

Not kill shot, more like I'll bite your knees off shot.

This could be the most important game of the year. Let’s get it !

Nah games 1 & 2 were both more important to Houston than this one.  This is however the absolute most important game of the year for the MFY.

INDUBITABLY.

They lose this game and LMJ gets to shut down Yankee Stadium on Sunday.

Honestly, I'd almost be happier with a double to right center.

Why?  Are you channeling your inner John Smoltz or something?

That's a pretty impressive stat given that Yuli didn't play in the playoffs until he was 33.  I guess Tino started his career in the black hole of Seattle but still.  I guess conversely Pujols spent a decade of his career in the black hole that is the Angels so everyone has gaps.

Boone’s lost it. Stanton’s playing left field at Yankee Stadium for the 1st time in 3 years. Matt, Mr. 100% SO rate, Carpenter at DH.

Having Carpenter ahead of Bader is amazing.

I’ve said it many times, and bregman said it this week … if yuli signs with the Astros at a young age, he’s pushing for HoF. He’s the definition of a baseball player.

50% lost it / 50% you have to change it up, you have nothing to lose at this point

That’s our best lineup. For the course of the season. We’ve obviously got guys not hitting right now but just true ability wise and numbers on the baseball card you can’t do better than that with this roster.

I’m going with 100% lost it because this quote makes zero sense. Bader is healthy enough to play center but not LF?

Quote

Giancarlo Stanton is playing LF at Yankee Stadium for the first time since the 2019 ALCS. Aaron Boone acknowledged “it’s not the ideal alignment” but said he didn’t want to put Harrison Bader in LF, Aaron Judge CF and Stanton in RF so soon after Bader’s injury.

i thought moving a hot bader to leadoff ahead of judge was a good move, but what do i know.

Agreed and this is what we made the deadline moves for. Look at Josh Bell he sucked out loud for the Padres the entire regular season and then came up big in Game 2. Would be nice for Vazquez and Mancini to get some big hits.

Forecast still looks like rain Sun and Mon.  Karen Boone would be so upset with rain delays.

Forecast is better than it was Thursday and yesterday.  Monday night looks clear.

Poll: Which game will be on your primary TV?

Astros for me

I have stopped watching college football again.  So Astros.  Not at the game this afternoon.  My plan is to go tomorrow/Monday depending on outcome of this one.

I didn’t watch about 145 Astros games again this year to switch to college football now.  I will be wearing out the “back” button during commercial breaks though.
