  • This postseason has become more sentimental for me and my wife's family.  My father in law is the biggest Astros fan I know.  He watches every game without fail, even DVRing them if he can't watch liv

We need an outfielder not another pitcher. Meyers, Chas and Siri are not the answer. Especially with Brantley probably out for a while.

I'll take a lefty reliever

Clearly 1 game samples are determative

Also, nobody has enough depth to offset the concurrent absence of the best hitter and best second baseman in MLB (in addition to another good hitter in Brantley).

To be fair, most teams probably don't have that kind of depth.

Thought Brantley was coming back next week?

I'm sure we'll do the same for Mike Fiers when his Chinese Professional Baseball League team is in town.

Fucking rat.

I am Jacks complete lack of surprise (Soto on the block after extension talks fell apart)

there was never a world where Washington kept him that was not Washington stupidity if he rejected the extension offer.
I have zero belief he goes to us. But he should go somewhere.

Because he prioritizes his team over a meaningless exhibition?  OK.

if it was actually about prioritizing astros i would have no problem with it. i don’t buy that getting hit by a pitch on thursday and then playing one inning on tuesday presents any risk. i could be wrong.

Include him in the Soto package

Nah. You have an extra year of control with Tucker. If he goes out it’s an upgrade on Tucker but not a big enough one to give away the extra year IMO. Unless the package is Tucker, Brown and Leon or something. I’d do that but I doubt they would.
