Abreu is a beast.  Gonna be a quality setup man for Houston for the next 5 years.

Have there been any recent interviews with Abreu? I'm curious as to how he turned the corner.

I was there during most of building that losing record. Not from the very start, but from the late '60s on. It often felt like trying to summit the Matterhorn on skates. To have the run we're on these days seemed unthinkable not so long ago. Another title of course would be awesome, but in the bigger picture of things, I'm just glad I got to see the surge.

Respect.

Before you posted I was thinking that we've been pretty good for as long as i can remember.

My first memories are of the '86 team.  Was there as an 8-year-old for Game 6.  F the Mets.

The '90s through 2007 or so were pretty good record-wise with the Biggio/Bagwell teams, obviously other than the 2000 season.

2010-2013 sucked but it's been fun ever since.  I think I saw we've had 21 winning seasons out of our last 30... and in one of those "bad" seasons (2020) we still made it to within one game of the World Series.

That surprised me at first because I thought Brown was going to be long relief. But after looking the schedule it shouldn’t have. We’re at the beginning of a 23 games in 24 days. 6 man rotation makes sense.

If we win tonight the Angels should just forfeit the rest of the season

Garcia going toe to toe with Ohtani and not blinking.  Great stuff.

not bad for our #6 starter, maybe #7

At some point this has to be GP's fault as the outfield coach right? That throw has to go to second base.
