Look at Dubon expertly holding Varsho to a double and not a triple

Fucking hell Peña

And Maldonado

Scorekeeper needs to get his head out of his ass and give Peña an error to help conserve JV's ERA

Verlander needs to throw 8 more innings and not give up an earned run to post an ERA of 1.736842105 which would beat Pedro's 2000 ERA of 1.741935484 which would be the lowest AL ERA of the Wild Card era (since 1995)

Now Vote 4 Pedro was 0.84 ERA below #2 (Kevin Brown) where Verlander would not even be at 50% that amount ahead of #2 this year.

Well way to jinx it

Machete rounding into playoff form.  Although he was already leading the league in PBs coming into tonight.

This feeble lineup with JV pitching already would be a recipe for Houston scoring 0-2 runs. Coming off some monster scoring outbursts likely sealed the deal. Shock me, team.

Changed it to unearned anyway because of the passed ball.  Still think it was an error though.

That was almost a really smart play by Bregman.  Just needed to hold his water a little longer.

Less than ideal AB from Altuve.

Yeeeeeeeeah, not a fan of the "bunt twice" strategy.

#21642

First bunt was ok.  Dumb to try it twice.  He gave 2 strikes to a guy who was struggling to throw strikes.

this. 3rd baseman was waaaaaaaay back

Hung in there and had a chance to beat a great pitcher with our C lineup.  Game was lost when Altuve tried to get too cute.  But whatevs.  Get the rest in, stay sharp, and win at least one more game.

Magic numbers

1- Yankees

2- Braves and Mets

12- LA Dodgers. Might be 13- not sure who would   win the tiebreaker as we haven’t played.

Yeah any kind of a half way decent bunt toward 3rd would have won the game.  The third basemen was back against the grass.

What’s your order of preference for LDS opponent (after #1: it don’t make a shit)

I’m going:

1) Mariners

2) Rays

3) Blue Jays

Ideal scenario for me would be M’s passing Rays for the #5 slot and taking out the Jays in the WC round.

Rays getting Glasnow back last night makes them stronger and stronger the longer they can stay in it.
