Why open the roof?

Why have a roof that you can open if you don’t open it on a perfect evening like this evening?

  • This postseason has become more sentimental for me and my wife's family.  My father in law is the biggest Astros fan I know.  He watches every game without fail, even DVRing them if he can't watch liv

Fair.  But, louder with it closed.  I can see both arguments.

Because it's a playoff game and we'd rather have it closed to lock in the noise and it should be no one's choice but ours.

So we can play on rainy days.

Understood. I personally think that factor is overrated just a bit. And MLB apparently makes the decision in the playoffs.

But the point still stands….why have a retractable roof at all if noise is the overriding factor?

GTFO with your reasonable answer

Wait. Actually….playing on rainy days is why you build an indoor stadium. Still doesn’t explain retractable.

Oh well. Water under the dam..,

I don’t think it’s overblown. Astros are 1-4 in the playoffs with the roof open.

2-4 after tonight. We aren’t losing.

It's not just ask the players, they want it closed

Put your god damned retainer in your mouth, Bader, you disgusting 14-year-old.

Well, we know MLB is going to do anythink they can to help the Yankees.  Thus, since they have control, roof open.  Fuck the Commissioner.

They said wind out of the SW, right?  Lefties getting some help tonight, it looked like.

He’s a fucking gimp with that retainer

Foot stuck in his windup on that one.  Montero had a hitch on the ball that left the park last night also.

Lots of hard contact and not getting chases on the low curve

Shutup idiot.  Big K

Roof closed or open don't mean shit when crowd sitting on their hands.

Last two night crowd has been pretty lame.

Seriously. If there were truth in advertising, this would be the commissioner’s trophy.

It's baseball not football.  Who gives a shit?

110 mph ev for Yuli.  The fountain of youth hasn't worn off yet

this ump blows, 2 pitches outside in the same spot, one is a strike and one is a ball

11 pitch inning.  Settling in.

Rude girl back spinning that towel in game 2 as well.

I don’t get the point to the mouth piece? Is he gonna get tackled and get his braces stuck to his lip?

Yuli Gurriel tied Reggie Jackson with 78 hits for 17th all-time in the postseason.

Idiots booing him putting the 9 hitter on for the top of the order
