What are the rules now?  We pick up where we left off right or was that covid only?  Have we gone back to starting the game over?

Possible tornado passing to the north of the stadium.  Line is moving so could clear within 30 minutes.  Ought to be able to resume after that, looks like mostly just sprinkles behind the line for another hour or so.

Would be a resumption, not a start over (but need to finish 5 innings tonight.)

MINNEAPOLIS — Justin Verlander’s return to normalcy still has a final step, one he expects to take during the next turn of Houston’s rotation.

After falling five outs shy of a no-hitter during Tuesday’s 5-0 win against the Twins, Verlander revealed he will make his next start on four days of rest, putting the future of Houston’s six-man starting rotation in flux.

Front half of tomorrow's double header is a bullpen game I guess.

Will be interesting how they handle the rotation  JV and Click’s statements seem at odds

Welp, guess I don't know the rules.

Similar risk of tornadic storms tomorrow afternoon and evening, maybe as early as 4pm.  Might have been better to play through the sprinkles tonight.

Allegedly:

If that guy’s tweet is true, we should have to forfeit. You don’t go home/to hotel if game hasn’t been called

Picked up a half game on LAA with y'alls favorite Aggy on the mound in extras facing Trout, Ward, and Marsh

Astros lead in the L column.  Back to controlling their own destiny.

Twins going to put cano back out there to make his MLB debut after Astros have a full night to dissect scouting reports?

read the following in The Baseball 100 book but also heard them talking about it on MLB radio this morning: 1 player in MLB history has participated (been announced) in an MLB game but never faced a batter:

Larry Yount (robin’s brother): called in to a game for the Astros in 1971. Got hurt in warmups. Never made it back to the Show.

So, last night's game has been modified to a 7-inning game and will continue from where it left off.  Then a full 9-inning game will start 30 minutes after the end of the first game.

Do I have that right?

Obligatory:

I don't know all the rules, but it is a continuation of the game so I would assume he is required to face the 3 batter minimum since he was already announced as the new pitcher.

I guess Minnesota could always come up with a phantom injury for him

according to the Twins announcers Cano is the greatest pitcher of all time and Tucker's homerun was a fluke because of the wind
