Semien career high in bags already. Kind of weird.

Jordan Lyles is the scheduled starter for the O's on Tuesday.

Series win. I'll take it.

I'll take being a Rangers fan over being an Angels fan.

I mean, it's depressing either way.

After listening to some of the buzz yesterday, Seager sure went from possible leg amputation to being in the lineup in a hurry.

Since @VirginiaLonghorn will need someone to talk to for the next 3 days.

Baltimore Orioles lineup:

1. Cedric Mullins (L) CF
2. Adley Rutschman (S) C
3. Anthony Santander (S) DH
4. Ryan Mountcastle (R) 1B
5. Rougned Odor (L) 2B
6. Ramon Urias (R) 3B
7. Terrin Vavra (L) LF
8. Ryan McKenna (R) RF
9. Jorge Mateo (R) SS

Planning on catching a game when they’re in Htown next week. Kid wants to make sure Perez is on the bump.

Roberto Duran’s kid plays 2B for the Rangers?

Certainly playing defense like he’s wearing those gloves.

Manos de piedra …

The Brewers traded Hader and replaced him with Matt Bush.

I don't even care what the Rangers got to know it was a good trade. But...

Scouting Report

Antoine Kelly was a 2nd round selection (65th overall) in 2019 and signed with the Brewers for a just over $1 million. During the 2020 season he generated a lot of buzz as one of the breakout performers at the Brewers alternate training site, but in November of 2020 he had surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome. The recovery process for TOS is widely considered daunting (both physically and mentally), but Kelly has shown great strides since returning to the mound over the past calendar year.

Kelly has a plus fastball that sits 94-96, but also touches 98 with some regularity. He has had bouts with control issues, but the consensus seems to be that he’s been sharper in 2022 despite a walk rate that’s still a bit high. Kelly also features a plus slider that was first refined in the aforementioned alternate training site, but was not seen publicly until his return from surgery. The slider has significant sweeping action and could project to be a plus-plus pitch as it develops further. He also has a changeup that’s a pretty clear third pitch at this point, but could become at least an average pitch with further refinement. Although he has continued to develop as a starter for the time being, it’s not difficult to envision Kelly’s repertoire excelling out of the bullpen.

Kelly would need to be placed on the 40-man roster this offseason in order to be protected from the Rule 5 draft in December. This complicating factor could increase his likelihood to move to the bullpen, or even make him more expendable via trade in the eyes of the Brewers' brass.

Kelly’s future role remains a bit of a wild card. With further tightening of his command and control he could be a future MLB starter, but questions about whether he can handle a starters workload over a full season need to be answered before that becomes a realistic expectation. Some signs point to a future in the bullpen being more likely, but he has the stuff to perform as a true high leverage reliever.

Soto to the Padres, IMO a major dodged bullet for the Rangers.

Sorry, @Dr Fear

I get it, but it still sucks.  One of the few guys that actually wanted to be here.

Nothing  against Bush personally, I wish him well. His professional future prospects are probably automatically better as a result of the trade.

Guess they needed to keep Moore around to open games for Hearn lol.

Watching the Mets on MLB Network and broadcast was saying how they wished they had added a left handed bullpen arm. I don't get it.

Y'all really gonna let Lyles walk out of here with a win, SMH.

… and he wasn’t worth $7MM to the Rangers?

Matt Moore is fucking us now.

Leclerc is so goddamn shitty.

Wouldn’t it be easier to say that only Martin Perez is worth a shit?

Woody just wanted to make sure it wasn't a 1-run game.
