Media critic/writer and former fellow at Media Matters for America Eric Boehlert died today in a bike accident. He wrote extensively for Salon and Rolling Stone as well and was a very outspoken critic of the Bush and Trump administrations and was someone whose work I read and respected greatly. He will be missed.

Sonofabitch…I first read Boebert….almost started drinking early.

I did the same thing, but immediately realized the thread wouldn't have RIP in the title if it was that human piece of shit.

His last entry, and he is right as always.

Big fan. Listened to him every week on Stephanie Miller. Big loss for the progressive media community.

A release from NJ Transit on Tuesday reported that a train on the Montclair Boonton Line struck and killed an adult male on a bicycle Monday evening "prior to" the Watchung Avenue station between its 8:59 departure from Hoboken and its scheduled arrival in Hackettstown at 11:07 p.m.

Underscores both the preciousness and randomness of life.

Media is corporate media and owned by big corporations.   So much effort and discussion is given to gas prices while grocery prices/shrinkage gets a significantly smaller air time discussion yet it costs people so much more.

Im not saying it wasn’t an accident, but when journalists due of accidents, investigators ought be exhaustively thorough.

Boehlert was very respectful about Andrew Breitbart's untimely passing back in 2012, as was Breitbart.com today about Boehlert's untimely passing:

Eric Boehlert, Andrew Breitbart’s Worthy Left-wing Opponent, Dies at 57

I made the mistake of clicking on that not realizing it was Breitbart. Fuck that site. Wasn't there 10 seconds and this popped up. It's amazing people are dumb enough to believe this shit. Fuck Breitbart. Boehlert wasn't his worthy opponent. Beitbart couldn't stiff Boehlert's jock. Laughable notion
