April 23, 20223 yr So I got this from my morning’s Facebook feed (first mistake), and the thought has occurred to me that maybe this is the lineup from a prior year. I’ll GTFO.Pre coffee Saturday morning posts: all is forgiven.
April 23, 20223 yr Look at Coachella and remove everyone cooland that’s a solid bet for the ACL under bill. Find some milquetoast inoffensive headliners and you’re good to go.

April 24, 20223 yr Look at Coachella and remove everyone cooland that’s a solid bet for the ACL under bill. Find some milquetoast inoffensive headliners and you’re good to go. Coachella’s lineup was pretty shit-tastic this year.
April 26, 20223 yr Author Should have an announcement in the next two weeks. Stevie Nicks is a virtual lock. Spoon looks fairly certain as well.
April 28, 20223 yr Have regular 3day tickets been sold yet? I missed presale but figured the unwashed masses still had a chance to get a pass.
April 28, 20223 yr They’ll sell the rest when the lineup is announced, probably in the next 2-3 weeks.
April 28, 20223 yr Quote When does the lineup for 2022 ACL Fest (Austin City Limits Music Festival) get announced? The full Lineup for the 2022 Austin City Limits Festival is likely announced around the end of May. https://www.acl-radio.com/frequently-asked-questions-faq/

May 4, 20223 yr It can't be anywhere close to being as shitty as last year's lineup, can it? I’m hopeful this year as everybody seems to be on tour trying to make up for lost time since covid. So many good acts on the road right now.
May 7, 20223 yr AmEx cardholders that are inclined to “buy blind” before Tuesday can do so now.I went ahead and pulled the trigger because I’ll be tied up Tuesday and seems like they sold out within hours last year?
May 10, 20223 yr Jesus. Does their booking team even give a shit any longer? You know it's bad when Asleep at the Wheel is in the middle of the bill instead of the fucking bottom with the gospel choirs and children acts. All of the ticket reseller sites are about to be flooded with tickets. You might as well wait until the morning of and pay 50% of face value. Edited May 10, 20223 yr by CooterBrown

May 10, 20223 yr There's plenty of decent stuff there. I'm keen to see Kacey Musgraves as a headliner. She's having a moment right now and the one hour slot last time was just not enough. Still, this is me:
May 10, 20223 yr I'm going through the list of artists I've never heard of on Spotify...most of them have 10M+ listens with many with over 50M+ listens. WTF. Who are these bands? They don't seem to tour, release albums, or get played anywhere other Spotify and social media. They do all sound the same...programmed "real" instruments, auto tuned Billie Eilish style mumble vocals. I guess this is a TikTok lineup fest?
May 10, 20223 yr Maybe a one day ticket if Billy Strings, The War on Drugs and Phoenix are playing on the same days as Kacey or Flume.

May 10, 20223 yr Musgraves is an absolute icon. She belongs at the top of that shitheap. I cannot think of a band i'd like to see any less than RHCP, what absolute drivel. I hope James Blake does a midweek show. Or at least Phoenix. Both are only doing a single weekend, I can't remember if single weekend acts end up doing an ACL Nights gig. Hope so.
May 10, 20223 yr There are a couple acts that are poised to break out soon like Wet Leg and MUNA. Pleased with some of the other undercards too, primarily Japanese Breakfast and Arlo Parks.

Absolute hot garbage. Happened across their performance of a new song when Fallon and Kimmel swapped shows on April Fool's and they're as bad as ever. Kiedis has always been bad. He's even worse now.
May 10, 20223 yr Question that I should know the answer to, but don't....if I buy a 3 day pass, can I sell one day and keep the other two?

No. You buy a wristband with a unique code. You can let someone borrow it for two days, I guess a rental. But I'd only do that with a trusted friend.
May 10, 20223 yr I see a lot of time, effort, and money just freed up for me. I bet you can get single day passes on the "day of" for a fiver.
May 10, 20223 yr Spoon, Wilderado and Jake Bugg on the same day would be great for me otherwise I'll probably hope for a couple good late night shows.

Didn’t help that there was a good five year period where every single mother luvin, dog fuckin time I turned on 101x it was an RHCP song on. Became a running joke with my wife. Then I got a modern car with Bluetooth and the problem went away. Isn’t this like #3 that they’ve headlined?
