Ok?? The series is fluid. That was the one shot the Cavs had to make this a series. They gave their best shot and still lost in 10 in OT. Then get ran off the court the next game. Exactly how is that shaping up to be an interesting series?

why did you watch then?

best player of generation up against best team of generation. If seeing how the two attack and counter one another doesn't interest you then idk what to tell you. You coulda stopped watching NBA (and posting on bball board) the day KD signed with GS if you're solely interested in series that appear to be completely even matchups

why did you watch then?
He has to know which "hot take" memes to post.

You proved my point. You already know they won't win. Wow, how exciting!

“I think” isn’t equivalent to “I know.” Those are basic language skills, which you’ve forgotten in your haste to show this board how prescient you are. You’re going full Vic again.

If Golden State keeps a good pace, and passes the ball like they did at times tonight, I don't see how Cleveland can come back and take four of five.

If they share the ball like they did tonight, then the real question is if Cleveland can win one.....

Risky take there

Very possibly but damned if Cleveland hasn’t shown a stubbornness against going down quietly. I think Warriors win but it’ll go to six.

That makes more sense. If they lose Game 3 I think Cleveland packs it in for Game 4

Warriors may toss the cavs a bone.  They may want to win in front of their crowd for once.

they did that last year.

Lol. I knew you would come back with that. All of which I believe is after his playing days. Still better than a Boyz2Men outfit, that mommy picked out. No matter how expensive.

And just to agg you even more 3n6 will never beat 6n0.

Doesn't Aggy(whatever that means) me at all. You are the clowns who look silly making an argument about trophies that you don't really believe in. Meanwhile Russell has 900 rings, but somehow the trophy argument doesn't apply to him.

Pflugerville went to the state title game in 2008 and lost to Katy- the players still got rings. Uphauling.

Is there a runner-up ring?

Then Russell is the GOAT. Jordan can't be the GOAT with only 6.

Aww chin up, bro. Look at the bright side....Lebron will extend his record of most Finals losses, which may never be broken.

It's so sad that LJ played his heart out in game 1 (only for JR to blow the chance to win), and have less of a chance in game 2... #HoorayForSteph&KD..?

I think you have me confused, bruh. I could give two shits about Dallas.....nice try though. And there is a Mavs thread (I think), if you wanna talk Dallas.

Lebron-Goat-225x300.jpg

best thing about the NBA is the super short off season, even shorter considering the draft and FA mess which keeps fan interest year round. Then the summer league and a brief preseaon to get the fix. 2018-19 is going to be excellent, hope for no key injuries to the power teams.

They will give Lebron game 3 and 4 for taking the eye damage in stride. Then Warriors take 5 and 6.

Reminds me of the Harden dunk in game 4 where Draymond went for the face with the right and left hand, luckily Harden just got a concussion and not eye poke.

Counter point..

Kinda hard to get mad at your team mate if you, yourself didn't know the timeout situation.

Granted he would've never dribbled it out and would've likely gone back up with it but he sure as shit wasn't going to call a TO risking a tech if he wasn't aware of the situation

Exactly. Any player could've called the time out as could the coach. Plenty of blame to go around

Hindsight is 20 20. Easy to say all that sitting from our couch. That was such an absurd play by JR Smith, everyone was flabbergasted. And they brain could not process that situation plus being able to use rational reasoning to call a timeout. Not in that short of time.

That's all on JR Smith for not knowing the score. 100%. You'd think at this level, you don't need to remind players what the score is.

Lebron actually tries to call a timeout after realizing JR isn't going to shoot..... It's a weird thing all around.  Lue didn't look like he was trying to call a timeout either.  You think it would have been something you talk about or at least Lue pulls Lebron aside and says, hey if he misses this but we get the rebound, call timeout right away, we have time to set up a play.  Tough one because what if it was a uncontested layup?

Maybe Kendrick should STFU.....

Is there a better angle of this play? Maybe a zoomed in view?  It doesn't look to me like his feet are extended out some ridiculous amount like Larry David tripping Shaq. Curry shoots the fadeaway, drifts back towards the cavs bench, then just kinda wanders up the sideline without even looking where he is. There was no danger for a Zaza type play, Perkins is a good 6 feet from where he took the shot. Just seems like Curry is looking to get into it with them for no reason other than the instigate a scuffle.

Perkins intentionally left his feet there hoping that Steph would trip, and not giving a fuck if that meant an injury to the best player in the NBA who suffers from chronic lower leg injuries. There’s plausible deniability if it’s someone other than Perk doing it, but he knew exactly what he was doing, and any one of us with Steph’s injury history would have done the same thing.

To be fair we don’t have all of the context there. He may well have been under the impression that they *did* have a TO and was just reaffirming it there. With his tone and inflection you could easily glean that he was incredulously asking, “we didn’t have any timeouts?!”, as opposed to genuinely not knowing.

So Kendrick Perkins is supposed to move his feet under his chair as Stephanie walks backward into their bench? What if moving his feet caused Steph to trip worse?

Key question, if that "play" that didn't hurt Curry was dirty, what is Draymond Greens eye poke to Lebron James? Just another accident from the guy who always seems to be accidentally kicking and flailing at people's faces.

Quote

Second verse same as the first.

Sunday’s Cavaliers-Warriors NBA Finals Game 2 had a 12.7 overnight rating on ABC, down a tick from last year (12.8*) but up 8% from 2016 (11.8), which featured the same matchup.

Golden State’s blowout win, which peaked at a 15.0 from 10:15-10:30 PM ET, delivered the third-highest Game 2 overnight since 2001 (Sixers-Lakers: 14.5). Last year and 2015 (Cavs-Warriors: 12.9) hold the top spots.

The Cleveland-Golden State matchup accounts for four of top six Game 2 overnights over that span. The two exceptions are Heat-Thunder in 2012 (11.8) and Nets-Lakers on NBC in 2002 (12.3).

Both games in this year’s series have posted a slight decline in the metered markets, with Thursday’s Game 1 also down a tick (from 12.4 to 12.3).

The Bay Area turned in a 33.3 rating Sunday night, up 7% from last year (31.1) and up 4% from 2016 (32.1). It was the market’s highest for a Game 2. Cleveland had a 32.7, up 1% from last year (32.4), up 2% from 2016 (32.1), and its top Game 2 since 2016 (42.1).

Memphis was the top neutral market at a 19.3 (+10%). Secondary markets Columbus, Ohio (18.9, -3%) and Sacramento (18.8, +21%) rounded out the top five.

* At this time last year, the Game 2 overnight was reported as a 12.7.

Counter point 2.

JR didn’t lose the game. It still went to OT and the Cavs, including LBJ, failed to show up for it...

Yeah I’m definitely going to keep reading your post and take you seriously after that./s

I’m trying to figure out who that guy is from the old site. I can’t put my finger on it, though i’m assuming it’s a rockets fan. the use of stephanie should be a clue.
