Prime Shaq had his way with Hakeem.  Size mismatch.

prime shaq was towards the tail end of hakeem’s career. hakeem is arguably the best all around defensive player ever.

Fair enough.  But young Shaq had no issues with scoring on prime Hakeem.   Maybe that was already prime Shaq to be fair

Yeah I looked at their h2h finals stats and Shaq did well. Other than that winning thing

if you’re going against LAL Shaq you might actually consider rostering a guy that seems like an asinine pick, but based on his legendary, immovable strength, steven adams might be worth a flier. he’s not the best defensive player of all time, and i’m under no illusions that he himself would actually stop Shaq. but again, to hear modern day centers tell it, adams is *by far* the strongest player in the nba. multiple players have actually injured themselves just accidentally running into him. might be worth a flier.

something like this:

oacar, mj, kawhi, KG, adams

jusy throw that group on the floor for 3-4 minutes if shaq is killing you in the paint and around the rim. LAL Shaq truly is a 1-of-1 player who requires some out-of-the-box strategies to slow him down. this might be a terrible idea, but hey, i’m trying lol.
