No it wasn't. It was blue for a lot of those years.

When was the change from blue to burnt orange & white?

Does Reebok fit any team anywhere today?

No. When adidas bought them they moved all Teams to Adi.  This is one of the main reasons they acquired them.  Rbk’s Ftwr biz was on the decline but they had ties to MLB, NHL, NCAA and, of course NFL.  This was Adidas ‘ easiest path to gaining access to the Leagues.

Not sure, but we didn't start with burnt orange until 1925. For a short time before that we had regular orange, which would fade to yellow and then opponents would call us yellow bellies.

Pretty sure this is not true.

When Royal got here we were still wearing orange and white.

The burnt part came a little later.

Here is a bit on the history of school colors at the University of Texas at Austin:

Black shoes coincided with another very dark era in Longhorn history, 1984-1997.  One notable exception, Shock the Nation.

Charlie Strong jacked up the Longhorn on the helmet with that neon crap and it hasn't been the same since.

Neon?  Nope.  Metallic.

What shade of burnt orange is winning and mud stomping the Turtles?  Because the team should wear that color.

Apparently burnt orange isn't anymore either:
