The trade off for cheap housing and low taxes

Has a nice and quick rain storm last night in the hood... maybe .10 inch in our gauge.  I know it basically does nothing but it was nice nonetheless.

What the fuck does “Feels like 119” even mean? What normal person knows what 119 feels like?

There should be a point around 105-110 beyond which they quit saying the number it feels like. Just says “Feels extremely fucking hot.”

That doesn't work as well when the air is 120 coming off the pavement.

Next 96 hours or so gonna suuuck.

Houston-area forecasts are showing solid chances of rain Monday-Thursday with temps held down to the low 90's. Can't wait for that rug to get pulled.

You'll get another week of 100+ temps and like it.

At least I have a little break from this shit over the weekend.

Welcome! You just missed 90s in the city, otherwise a spectacular summer so far with no June gloom in sight.

I’m already getting to the heat fatigue portion of summer where I’m always tired and I’m dehydrated just because.

Way worse than 2011

It’s not

No joke. Take electrolytes. I pop em like candy once we get near 100.

I know when the dog needs to go out because she hits her water bowl like a fucking camel before sitting by the door.

She takes one good long piss, a shit, looks around like wtf is this bullshit, then drags me back inside.

Still no where near 2011. We hit 100s in May then if I'm not mistaken.

I usually drink 1/2 of some sort of electrolyte replacement drink everyday.  I also cut way back on coffee and other stuff during the summers.  I know I drink plenty of water (1.5-2 gallons/day).  Cold beer just tastes so damn good during this time of year.  3-4/day during the summer tastes good but doesn’t help the hydration.

Drink more water! :)

I put water in my bourbon to maintain hydration.

My property tax bill begs to differ.

I got stung by a scorpion last night for the first time in my life. Driven inside by the heat I'm sure.

So now we've got scorpions in our homes.

Pulled some of my son's clothes out of the dryer the other day right after they finished drying. Crawling around inside looking fit and happy was a scorpion. Heat doesn't bother them, my gentle scorpion victim.

It’d be nice if the winds of change could bring in a cold front.

May 24th in 2011- in Austin.

May 21st in 2022 - in Austin. Right now it's about even with 2011, but 2011 really started in July with a 65 day stretch with only 3 days being under 100 degrees.

In downtown OKC, its 100 and my office building's A/c just went out. Fuck this shit.

I don't know, might be fun right now to ask the sooner fans why they couldn't get Manning.

May was pretty hot in 2011 but it was also pretty hot this year too.

I did my part to make sure the rain forecast for early next week doesn't miss us by spending a couple of hours washing and cleaning out my car.

Bring it on, you sumbitch.

So is this a few days of relief or is it going to be like 65% humidity feels like 108 type shit?

I think I’m just going to take anything important out of my truck and leave it in the driveway with the windows down for the next few days.   Hope I don’t find a hornets’ nest when I go to work next week
