May 4, 20223 yr I've been wanting to do an Asia trip having done Japan, Vietnam, and Cambodia a while back. I was thinking Thailand but thought covid might make it dicey. How long would be a good amount of time? Any recommendations appreciated. I've been thinking of a two week trip from Honolulu so it would be a 9 or 10 hour direct flight.

May 5, 20223 yr It's been 30 years since I was there but there is a shitload of cool stuff to see there. It's a beautiful country and the people are pretty bad ass IMO. Start in Seoul and then work your way around from there. See the DMZ if you can. The War Museum in Seoul is very cool. There's a bad ass old castle near there that I can't remember the name of that's worth seeing too.

June 16Jun 16 Bump. S. Korea is next on my country list for a big 10 day trip. I was thinking: 7 nights in S. Korea and then 2 or 3 nights in Osaka on my way back because I love Japan. Looks like the last two weeks of September. Weather should be stellar Edited June 16Jun 16 by midtown
June 17Jun 17 Spent a week in Seoul last year. It was amazing. Between the temples, markets, parks, nightlife, shopping, restaurants, and bars, it flew by. We're talking about returning next year to visit Busan and Jeju. I'm guessing late September means you'll be too late to catch a baseball game, which is too bad... the games are wild.
June 17Jun 17 I'm just glad this thread specified SOUTH Korea. You know, to differentiate it from all our "North Korean tourism" threads.
