August 1Aug 1 The blooper reel with Wesley doing the Riker "leg over chair" gag was outstanding. Especially since Frakes directed the episode.

August 8Aug 8 I wonder if these are the first actual encounter with the Pah-wraiths? A lot of parallels here, including how they're imprisoned. Food for thought, anyway.
August 8Aug 8 Might be an unpopular opinion but I really dislike Nurse Chapel as a character… despite how hot she is.

August 8Aug 8 I will say one thing about this show is I could totally do without the relationship drama. I do not care at all.

Hopefully SNw keeps it at a tolerable level. People are gonna fuck but it doesnt have to be a major plotline. Not waht star trek is about.
August 8Aug 8 The thing is, it hasn't dominated too many episodes. This week - A 60 second convo between La'An and Chapel about Spock and then what, 30 seconds of Uhura and Beto flirting? Meh. Star Trek has always been pretty horny.
August 8Aug 8 It's more than that, almost the whole episode revolved around 3 pairs of people that range from full on couple to flirty will they won't they kids, with a jilted ex love dynamic cherry on top. It's just unnecessary and actually kind of lazy because you don't need sexual/relationship tension to build interpersonal dynamics. It's basically the only gripe I have with the show. Sure, Trek has always had horny shit but intermixed among plenty of complex character relationships that don't involve romance.

August 8Aug 8 Plus shippers kept the damn franchise alive Romance (and sex) has always been a part of Trek. I'm still convinced Voyager was having massive holodeck orgies, considering their circumstances.

August 9Aug 9 Aside from the banging I cant imagine the amount of fapping going on. Especially in the holodeck. 3D printers in every room. "Computer: Something I can stick my dick in."

August 9Aug 9 I’ve seen a lot more “criticism” that SNW season 3 has been sci-fi/body horror galore. Gorn episode 1 Zombies episode 3 Poor guy’s eyes destroyed episode 5 (very Event Horizon inspired there)

August 10Aug 10 Just needed Gamble to sit up and take off the visor and go “Libera te tutemet ex inferis”
August 10Aug 10 Episode 4: Spoiler They do a good job of moving well-worn genre's, often more than one combined, and make them fresh. often respectfully poking fun at them. Pirates, Alien, zombies and now cheesy 50's-60's sci fi. All while lampooning TNG's holodeck failure episodes and Shatner's line delivery. AND critiicizing AI. They're tapped directly into ST fan's brains. When this show runs out, we might actually die.
August 11Aug 11 Episode 5 did not impress me. Spoiler This time they copied Prometheus, with the bad decisions made by ostensibly well-trained officers. Gambel just grabs that orb thing from the dead body. Just picks it up and gets is eyes blown out. So they beam him up and just continue the away mission like NBD? Then Gambel gets into it with Mrs. McMurray. Redshirts come in with weapons drawn, ostensibly set on stun. Why not just shoot everyone and sort it our after. Same for when he's in engineering. Shoot him already. Chapel doesn't wanna walk over the bridge. Her BF tells her not to. Spock tries to convince her to do it. Spock, you are her superior officer. "Nurse Chapel I order you to walk forward." Then slap her BF. I'm gonna go Old Boomer here. SNW young officers are pansies, not the kinda people you want in your foxhole, and definitely not the kinda officers Star Fleet should be turning out. Friggen Gen Z, Man. And Pike is no help. Dude needs to drop the boom.
August 14Aug 14 Spoiler Everyone left behind on the Farragut eventually became Kirk’s crew on Enterprise
August 15Aug 15 Spoiler Pretty cool new villain they made there. Also. Phasers are awesome, but often prove ineffective. Presumably the formula for gunpowder has not been lost. Why not load up some Buffalo Bore 10mm a refurbished Glock. Just in case.
August 15Aug 15 Hard-core episode. Very cool to see the crew of TOS come together. These show runners know how to stroke the nerd peen.

August 22Aug 22 This one hit the feels pretty hard for me. Once they realized what was really going on and said fuck all that shit I did a fist pump.

August 28Aug 28 I cannot believe said this episode didn’t land. This whole episode was amazing And the post credit scene!
August 29Aug 29 lol… what a setup for a Primanti Brothers wordplay joke. Edited August 29Aug 29 by YChang
