May 10May 10 Popular Post Syril's poor ending took me by surprise, but it was just so fitting. He's been a pawn this whole time, thinking he mattered. He thinks his girl might start showing him respect, but no. You think the empire is seeing him as valuable, but no. He's basically Ashli Babbitt. The "who are you" is the icing on the cake.

May 10May 10 Just finished ep 9 and… that was just exceptional. I can’t remember the last time any tv gave me goosebumps, much less Star Wars. And no lie, while I was watching the K2 power up scene we had a small earthquake here in north Georgia. Epic! I was terrified when it became clear that Bix wasn’t going to let herself be the reason that Andor left the rebellion. With all of her trauma I was afraid she was going to take her own life. During her message all I could see in my head was Cassian’s last moment on the beach. That is some Shakespeare level tragedy. The female characters on this show are some of the best ever put on a screen. It has been a master class on strong women. And Kleya with her hair down…rawr.
May 10May 10 This season Andor is basically living Luthen’s speech to a T.Which we know will end with him seeing a certain kind of sunrise that he stares directly into…

If Disney hadn’t destroyed Star Wars then Andor might be performing better and we would have a better chance at more good prestige SW content. I don’t know why mdmost thinks that Disney doesn’t care about making money, they absolutely do, and a $300M loss is not going to be something they will be eager to do again. Andor is great. Fuck you Disney for insuring we’ll never get anything else like it. My experience from Star Wars Celebration doesn’t seem to show Disney is gonna forget/ignore SW. I get your sentiment but these things go in cycles… not sure why the doom and gloom here. Enjoy it! You never know if another IP or movie/show will break through with the fanbase and zeitgeist.
May 11May 11 I have no idea what that means, but I did want to say that I am so sad this ends on Tuesday. Rarely does a show ever live up to the expectations of the first season, but it's been it's been absolutely amazing. I don't want it to end.

May 12May 12 https://deadline.com/video/tony-gilroy-video-interview-andor-behind-the-lens/ “George Lucas called me after Rogue, I had a 45-minute conversation with him after he saw Rogue One, and that’s the only time I’ve ever spoken to him. He loved it. He really did. He had a lot of things to say…It was like a call from the president."
May 12May 12 Just watched E9 this morning Liked it. Very powerful. Loved the layers of deception and risk, and infiltration of those both Bail and Maave trusted. Now Andor has his mech Chewbacca.
May 12May 12 Spoiler One thing I don't get about Bail's team being infiltrated... If the ISB already knew something was up with Mon, why not grab her before the speech? Or right outside her senate perch? Why wait until she's trying to leave? I guess they could act like they don't know what happened to her after Bail's team takes her or even blame Bail and have his credibility shot up and fracture the resistance.
May 12May 12 Because Lonni was the person who put the agent on Mon to keep up the appearance that he's doing his job. All the agent and ISB knew was Mon was trying to leave Coruscant, a plan was set up to get her out but not the why of it. Then Lonni fed the ISB agent to Luthen but not who it was. Just that the team had been compromised and he needed to get her out separately with Luthen's own agent. Bail said he was being watched heavily. I think the ISB plan was to catch her in the act of fleeing. They had no idea she was going to give the speech. I think Lonni will finally get found out in the final arc which leads to Luthen and Kleya's demise. I don't mind if Luthen goes down. Kleya getting caught or killed though is going to really suck. There's a clip in the season two trailer of a close in shot of a tear rolling down her cheek, that we haven't seen in the show yet. I assume it's about Luthen.

May 13May 13 Yep, Luthen didn't give that big speech in season 1 just to live. He will die, likely in a great way. I doubt Kleya survives, but who knows on that one. Lonni is going to end up assigned to the Death Star or some shit after Luthen allows Lonni to out him/sacrifice him to stay inside the ISB circle of trust.
May 13May 13 I think Luthen and Kleya both go down with the ship and take some Imperials out in the process. You can't tell me that shop isn't rigged to blow at a moment's notice. It's interesting that the last arc moved us away from Luthen as the main agitator of the Empire to the larger, organized Rebellion taking shape and gearing up for a real war.

May 13May 13 So did the rebellion glean technology from the TIE-Fighter Cassian escaped in, or was it simply the vehicle he found available? Seems like it was cutting edge, given his adjustment time. Edited May 13May 13 by Iceman
May 13May 13 It's possible the B-Wing was created based on the technology. Both have a giant laser meant to blow up capital ships. He was there to steal it with the help of the tech who joins the Rebellion. This is a really awesome coincidence. The show with Diego Luna ends on the same day he was announced 10 years ago as being cast in Rogue One. Edited May 13May 13 by mdmost
