Boring game. Nothing wrong with that.

I had all my excitement last night against La Tech.

Skenes hasn't done shit since that HR against DBU

With Southard and Lebarron it’s going to be about consistency going forward, everything else is there for them to be phenomenal college pitchers.

And as I type this he hits a batter 0-2

Maybe we can find a guy that can hold the center field camera still next season.

If we got this 4 out of 5 outings he would be the perfect setup man for our closer  ________.

Yep. Wouldn’t shock me one bit if both are key parts in the backend of the pen next year.

I think the question for both those guys is what type of pitcher are they going to be. They both have closer stuff imo but I think there’s some potential there for Southard especially to push more toward a starter role

Duplantier getting ready for a bases-loaded situation.

But we're spared that, thankfully.

Yeah, I'm not on board Duplantier.

It's time to go for the kill. Harrison might start a game 5 but it's time to just finish this one.

You need 9 outs and Harrison hasn't pitched all weekend.

Let's not get cute. It's Harrison or Olivarez to finish this.

This guy has lowered his ERA from 10.80 to 10.13 so far.

This is like 90th percentile of the slowest fucking baseball games ever played.  Christ, come on.

We've had some shit ABs past few innings. Hope we didn't need those runs.

Duplantier is an odd choice but Sthele worked out.

You need 9 outs. I think you just finish this with Harrison and Olivarez.

Air Force seems to be struggling with the slider and that’s Duplantier’s best pitch.

We shall see.

Need to bottle this slider.

His slider is almost always on. He had an outing earlier this year where he threw 0 fast ball strikes but still struck out the side ... He has great stuff and just needs frequent reps to see if he's on or not.

That’s why I’ve wanted him to get starts this year. Some guys aren’t necessarily wired to come out of the pen.

When you relieve you pretty much have to be on from the jump, no time to settle in.

7 to go!

Neg finger twitching

Does Pierce have some type of crystal ball tonight on these pitching choices?

If you told me we would go Sthele, Southard, to Duplantier without giving up a run through 7 innings I would have laughed.

Fine....

Two innings to go.

That's the best he's looked since...shit, i don't remember.

It's the 8th inning Greg. Last time I checked that meant Air Force had 6 outs, not 9.

EK has to be better at the plate the rest of the way.

Duplantier? Huh.

I mean he could allow 2 GS without giving up the lead

It's time for someone to square one up.

Like that?

DC wants the all-regional team!
