VAR is ruling the headlines this weekend and it's a got damn shame.

September 4, 20223 yr Well now VAR is here to take away a nice goal. Edited September 4, 20223 yr by mdmost
September 4, 20223 yr Brilliant goal. But that’s coming back because ref clearly missed a foul that started that.
September 4, 20223 yr give me a fucking break. that tackle happens 100x a game. he's going to overturn this.
September 4, 20223 yr That's a clear foul. Not VAR's fault that the ref didn't call it for whatever reason.
September 4, 20223 yr come on he fucking pushed him to the ground WITH NO ATTEMPT TO PLAY THE BALL sure it happens a hundred times a game when both players are leveraging their weight and appendages to win or control the ball not the case here proper call

Not VAR's fault that the ref didn't call it for whatever reason. that's not a clear foul, that exact thing goes uncalled all of the time, this is a physical sport. that's the problem with this shit- it's completely subjective. and btw, how the FUCK does mctominay not get booked for teo hand shoving martinelli from behind? arsenal have lost players for the entire season *twice* because of fouls like that. total horseshit. Edited September 4, 20223 yr by shadow_operative
September 4, 20223 yr i guarantee you an equal or more severe "foul" will go uncalled later this game. probably within the next 10 minutes.

Dude take it to the Arsenal thread.

It wasn't a 50-50 ball. It was in clear possession of Eriksen and the defender blew through him to steal the ball. Anyway, whatever, justice prevails., they got the call right. Now if VAR makes this a red, everyone should laugh really loudly.
September 4, 20223 yr gabriel jesus just wore a manchester united backpack while trying to receive a pass, but i guess that's not a foul. shouts out to paul tierney who grew up a mile away from the stadium. Edited September 4, 20223 yr by shadow_operative
September 4, 20223 yr you are going to single-handedly neg-karma your gunners lo! and thus scores antony
September 4, 20223 yr Gabriel should have been booked there, and the only reason he wasn't is because United scored. remember that ^^^ the next time one of you wants to tell me that my opinions on fouls are only based on how it affects arsenal.
September 4, 20223 yr as a pool fan this antony fucker is worrisome i don't like someone with spit and fire kissing their shield
September 4, 20223 yr at the end of the day, that goal being called back obviously irks me, but i won't deny that tierney had a right to call that a foul. the fact that it affects arsenal- on the road against united no less- is clearly the reason that i'm particularly irked, *however*, the rage is real, and it's not about arsenal. i hate what VAR has done to the game. you can't even celebrate a goal anymore, you have to wait and wonder and see and hope before you even know if your goal is really a goal. it's easily my least favorite aspect of EPL football. it ruins the beauty and passion of the game, not to mention the viewing experience. Was thinking in the minutes before Antony scored that he's is a nice player but probably not a 100m player*. Utd won't mind overpaying if he continues scoring goals. And it's still just fucking insane that City got Haaland for half that. Edited September 4, 20223 yr by Dutch

September 4, 20223 yr That move to swap Anthony and Ronaldo looks like an even bigger head scratcher once Arsenal equalizes.

September 4, 20223 yr 4 minutes ago, ztejas said: What a pass. It was pretty good. Rashford had been close to springing one.
September 4, 20223 yr Just now, Captain Ron said: That was onside? BOTH times? First was close. Second doesn't matter because he has the ball past the last defender.
September 4, 20223 yr 5 minutes ago, ztejas said: First was close. Second doesn't matter because he has the ball past the last defender. Huh? That pass can be offsides, Rashford still has to be behind the ball on the pass.
