Re: Daly stating two days ago; They don’t seem to like to play Kennedy against lefties. Not sure what his splits are but I’m gonna assume there is a reason behind it.

Nvm - wasn't thinking.

He’s a slap-hitting faget against lefties.

He went out of his way to explain why ECU didn’t just have a walk off home run in the top of the ninth, even though they’re playing a home.

Since Texas was designated the home team, the Longhorns actually batted in the bottom of the inning. Surly posters, in the politest way possible, pointed out that it also wasn’t a walk off home run because it led to a tie score, not a lead.

I'm also pretty sure, after we got the last out in Top 9, he says something to the effect of "and we WILL have a bottom of the 9th".

I've heard of postponing until a given time, but windspeed?

I guess I better go ahead and make dinner about 6.5 - 7 mph…

Weather delay could thin out the attendance a bit, especially if it drags on for a few hours.

not that it matters, but we're scheduled on mouse2 in 18 minutes where the current game is in the 3rd inning

the homeless contingent needs to be back by 7p for the free supper.

This seems like a good day to finish with a “happy drunk”. Let’s get this shit done!

Wind speed can make a noticeable impact on a game in that cracker box.

Who gives a shit. We do what we do, they do what they do. Just win and it all takes care of itself.

For some reason I always think that weather delays benefit the other guy. No matter the sport, no matter the circumstances.

I remember one against k state and one against tcu that seemed to benefit us. Tight games became laughers.

Is it culty to sing the school song at a sporting event? I thought that is what you do at school sporting events.

But maybe those civilized cultural norms are weird and strange in the darkest forests of North Carolina.

It’s the response from a fan of a school with no traditions or history. The Eyes means something because they have bookended some of the most historic sporting events in college sports history. Can’t expect someone from ECU to understand that.

Better use Chinet to stand up against the wind.

So...ETA? Are they just going to announce the game start at some point?

But lightning could also thin our herd.

If there was lightning during warm-ups they came off the field, 30 minutes from last strike then all clear head back out on the field and refire up the warm ups.  Assuming all clear has been called it's probably close to 4pm start at this point.

Biff Tannen going to wait until the wind is approx 2-2.5 mph?

Normally you wouldn't want to start a game get a pitcher out there going if there was a good chance 30-45 minutes in there will be another delay BUT since this is an all hands on deck day anyway maybe that goes out the window????
