Yes I know....Gatesville right ?

I will be spending a week near there soon and have searched for food places online.

There are a few local places I am intersted in but unsure about them.

Anyone have a suggestion ?

My wife's aunt and uncle live there, I'll see what they have to say.

Her response:  Bless their hearts.  Ranchers, J&M BBQ, Feed Mill, or El Tapatio on E. Main

I got the impression this was an "if they have to eat there" response.

New Baytown Seafood Express for the Thai food; I personally avoid Gatesville anywhere near a meal time-good luck with your visit and please report back!  I’d love another decent recommendation.

Went to Ranchers and it was ok.

Chicken Fried Chicken was good but the gravy was not.

Great peach cobbler.

Then we went to The Feed Mill and it was very good.

Highly recommend it.

1.  Baytown Seafood...lady who owns it is named Anna, she's from Cambodia.  Tell her to fix you some Thai like she makes for herself.   she'll light you up, bro.

2.  Junction on 36...good burger.  next door is the Shell Station...better burger.

3.  drive to Temple/Belton.

They used to have a Baytown Seafood in Palacios. Was/Is it a chain?
