Wow, yall really hate this season. There is not a thread. On episode 1. Let's see what the hate is all about.

At one point should I know this season sucks? So far its Rachael McAdams and prostitutes.

It pales in comparison to Season 1 but it wasn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be here.  Except for the Kelly Reilly parts...she was worse.

I watched it when it debuted and don't remember anything about it. That's how much I paid attention to it

You know how s1 slow burns from the beginning, but then mid way it starts really ramping and finishes strong?

s2 just slow burns the whole season with no ramp up and ends poorly.

S3 is much better

I remember the ending being so bad that it turned a mediocre season of tv into garbage. So you have something to look forward to.

I thought season 1 ended pretty quickly and poorly. It wasnt bad it just felt very rush and that left me disappointed.

I think this was my impression as well. I was entertained enough to finish the whole season but remember the plot being unnecessarily complicated and there being too many sub-plot loose ends. It was like the writer/creator was feeling himself a little too much based on s1 and so s2 came out as overly complex and beaten down with esoteric bullshit.

Just thinking about what a goatfuck season 2 was has me feeling apoplectic.

ok, think I agree with most. At first the season is intriguing, nothing out of the ordinary and the cast is good. Some dude got his eyes burnt out and there are shoot outs with messicans.

Somewhere along the line it just feels like all the sudden there is so much going on and you dont really know which direction is the most important.

Then the acting kind of falls off.

Then random shit kind of stars having like Len, who the fuck is Len, murders a sherrif in a train station with a knife and then the police come to save the day and shoot them both.

And then it ends.

TD s2 is playing on HBO. Saw one bar scene between Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell. Good lord it’s garbage. It’s below NCIS by a good portion. My apologies to S4. S2 is the worst.

Nah

Season 2 was proof that season 1 was only good because of Fukunaga, Woody and Matt. Pizzolatto is an egotistical incel who lucked into season 1 took sole credit for it and didn't understand why people enjoyed it which is why we get lines like  "Never do anything out of hunger. Not even eat." or a character who has multiple books on knives in her apartment.

Of course then Fukunaga turned out to be a shitheel too

So...typical Hollywood director.  Got it.

S2 is better than some things on television. “We made a nice bed for you, you should lie in it”.  Colin’s grief with his son and his plight was certainly palpable.  It’s a show. I watched it. That’s my review.
