November 23, 20187 yr LSU defense parted like the Red Sea on that tying bucket for FSU, game is in OT and the Nobles lead 73-71.
November 24, 20187 yr Author Tennessee and KU having a good battle on ESPN2 if you need something watch during commercials of the OU vs WVU game.
November 24, 20187 yr Author Grant Williams fouls out and gets hurt on a play where he didn't actually foul anybody. Really tough break for the Vols, they'll have to try and hold on without him. KU hits both FTs, tied at 69 apiece.
November 24, 20187 yr Author KU gets their own rebound and they will have the ball with no shot clock and a tie game.
November 24, 20187 yr Author Good D by the Vols, Schofield denies the entry pass and knocks it OOB with 2.0 seconds left under the basket. KU drawing up a final play.
November 24, 20187 yr Author 4 minutes ago, Firemans4Horn said: Some weak loose ball fouls against Tennessee. This and the loss of Williams have killed them down the stretch. It reminds me of some of our old games against KU with all the ticky tack crap away from the play.
November 24, 20187 yr The loose ball foul resulting in free throws is the worst rule in all of sports.
November 24, 20187 yr Author Well that'll do it. KU wins again. Meh. They're gonna win 16 games in this league again. Sick of em.
November 24, 20187 yr Author I remember posting that I believe Bill Self to be the best regular season coach in America, and that stat they just give us is why: 17-4 vs top 10 teams at KU, and now 14 in a row. That is damn impressive. Self is the man. Edited November 24, 20187 yr by Goo Punch

November 26, 20187 yr NCAA's first ever Net Rating (i.e. RPI 2.0) is out. I don't know how it works but it sure looks like it needs some recalibrating. 1. Ohio State (6-0) 2. Virginia (6-0) 3. Texas Tech (6-0) 4. Michigan (6-0) 5. Gonzaga (6-0) 6. Duke (5-1) 7. Michigan State (5-1) 8. Wisconsin (5-1) 9. Virginia Tech (5-0) 10. Loyola Marymount (7-0) 11. Kansas (5-0) 12. Belmont (5-0) 13. November 27, 20187 yr Going to have to study the net rating. But with the AP, I’m still not impressed with UK. I guess the reason to put them at 10 is because there aren’t many teams you could say are better than them? They don’t seem to have “earned” a top 10 ranking in my mind.

They're just riding the blue blood pedigree right now. They have no defense and got boat raced out of the gym by the only good team they've played so far. I'd struggle to place them in the top half of the Big 12 right now.

Can’t argue against any of this, probably should be in the 15-20 range at best. Edited November 27, 20187 yr by Underdog

If anything the NBA is even more hospitable to shorter, powerfully built front court players now than it was when they played. I’d take Zion #1 in a heartbeat in this class. Barrett, OTOH, needs Coach K to light him up and get his shot selection under control. Since that Kentucky game it seems like his shooting line in every subsequent game has been something ugly like tonight’s 9-25. I think Barkley was faster straight line but yes

Man.... down year for the American. SMU back to being mediocre, a few teams getting a vote a piece but UCONN ain't back yet. Memphis still down. Cincy down year. Usually the best mid-major/G5 but might not be the case this year.
November 27, 20187 yr Texas Southern best Oregon last night in Eugene. TSU has also beaten Baylor I do believe
November 28, 20187 yr Fat 10 - ACC Challenge going on. Louisville up 3 on Sparty in OT. 43.3 seconds to play. Pitt on the road at Iowa, up by six or seven at the half.
November 28, 20187 yr Even with a loss here I wouldn't want to play Michigan State in March. They were down a starter tonight (McQuaid) to injury and Winston was in foul trouble most of the night. They still almost found a way to win this game. Edited November 28, 20187 yr by texasstrong12
November 28, 20187 yr Zion is so fun to watch. Can't remember seeing a guy at 270lbs play the way he does. He's got a solid 25 lbs on Lebron

November 28, 20187 yr Pitt's getting sloppy with 11 turnovers in the second half at #14 Iowa, trail, 63-66, with 3:59 to play.
November 28, 20187 yr Damn, Pitt with two shots to win at the buzzer. Didn't get it done. Too many second-half turnovers and Iowa with 11-point edge from the line. Too sloppy in second half. Still, a nice performance at #14 Iowa.
November 29, 20187 yr 0-7 Monmouth is giving Kentucky a game early. How in the hell is Kentucky ranked #10?
November 29, 20187 yr Kentucky is ultimately going to figure it out and be pretty good, but I don’t think they’ve recovered from seeing their own blood against Duke. Doubt many players on that team have ever been out-talented...and they look like a team with very little confidence right now.
