Beyond all that sweet-smoked 'cue and the awesome courthouse.

The downtown seems cool for a town of its size.

Did you grow up there? Do you live there? Would you consider moving there?

In town right now for a dance competition at the high school.  So looots of time to tool around the town square on a lazy Sunday.  Had a fantastic breakfast at La Cantera (get the burrito), some brunch cocktails at Lockhart Bistro, then stumbled over to The Pearl bar off Main Street.  Dude, the air constantly smells like BBQ smoke, no matter where the wind is coming from.

Wife and I had the best time at The Pearl bar by far.  Mr. Ruben Brooks is a fantastic individual to chat with who makes you wish you could stay there and waste the day away.  Classic bartender who has a relatable story, no matter who he's interacting with.  Plus, Waylon, Willie and Marty are always playing in the background.  Go by there, strike up a conversation and have a nice relaxing time.
