Chelsea only have themselves to blame for this draw. Spurs were bossed all day long. At the very end they let Spurs have possession and get those corners. Kane just sometimes wills himself to score.

Thank you, I'll be here all week.

Don’t forget to tip your severs and absolutely try the Chelsea tears, they are delicious.

this was the other thing they are crying about this missed foul, Romero pulling a dudes hair.

I'm not sure VAR can call that on the play. And fouls like that get missed all the time in open play.

It's nice to have a shitheel on our side.  Chelsea had Diego Costa for years doing dirty little things.

Everyone needs one. We’ve been missing one since Dembele left.

So the real question as VAR reviewed that was “violent conduct” and it could have been a red. They just deemed no.

So clearly a big point of discussion was the missed fouls that preceded both Spurs goals. A quick look at both:

Bentacour-Havertz
To me, when you get all the angles on this one, there is no doubt this is a foul. Bentacour doesn't get any of the ball and takes out Havertz. That it's a foul isn't the issue.

The issue is WHO missed it. And it wasn't Taylor. Here is where Taylor is when this play starts

That's 30 yards away and behind, unlikely he was going to make that up when the play happens (he would never get into the frame again until the ball is played back by Spurs). But that linesman should be right there

And he is, but he still misses it. Granted from that angle, he might have thought Bentacour got the ball too.

But those are the views you have from the refs. Neither are great. It really makes sense why that call gets missed. And there was going to be no VAR once Chelsea had a possession (which they got right before turning it over and giving up the goal).

Romero-Cucurella

Again, a clear foul that Taylor misses. He's "looking right at this" as Romero (17) is pulling Cucurella's hair. As you see the play develop, you realize he's looking at the scrum with Harry and Richarlison. He probably never sees Romero do the deed.

The following thread outlines why this call went the way it did. The TL;DR: If it's not a red, they can't call that foul because that is not what VAR is for (only goal/no goal, pen/no pen, possible red card and mistaken identity) and hair pulling isn't an immediate red (it is separate from contact to head/face).

The TL;DR of all this - calls are missed in games. These particular calls were missed. It sucks they went against the opposing team, glad it went our way. But you can see why it happened.

And be prepared when similar happens against Spurs.

No further action taken on Cuti!

It's nice to have some shithousery go our way.

No  shock. Once they VAR’d it, the FA was going to be hard pressed to overturn that judgement. That would say our refs looked specially at that and missed it. And the FA would never do that. They have to stand behind the refs in those situations, even if they are wrong.

Hair pulling is judged similar to the NFL, it’s not seen as that bad.

There are videos showing that Bentancur did get the ball on the tackle vs Havertz.  The hair pull is no different than a jersey pull IMO.  Which happens on every single set piece.   Could have been a foul but refs said no.

Speaking of missed calls.  Reece should have gotten a second yellow on holding Son and pulling him to the ground

As much as I was unhappy with the team's performance yesterday, at least we're not Liverpool. Can you imagine the meltdown up there?

Klopp's front running ass is having to come up with new excuses!

This is more of a deal for the future. They are signing Udogie and then loaning him right back to his team (Udinese), he won't join Spurs until next summer.

Sanchez has actually played much better under Conte. I can't remember him making a bonehead play in a while
