July 15, 20232 yr Pog looks like he’s riding around his neighborhood whereas Jonas is out of the saddle.
July 15, 20232 yr Just now, Captain Ron said: Is there any advantage on the decent? I think Pog keeps it together because he can outsprint him at the line for bonus seconds.
July 15, 20232 yr The US feed is acting up. We lost Bob & Phil. They are using the video from the world feed too. I like the stats (speed & gradient). Edited July 15, 20232 yr by Captain Ron

July 15, 20232 yr After surviving the Sky years, this kind of racing is a revelation. Takes me back to the Lemond days even
July 15, 20232 yr Holy crap what an epic stage that was. Pogo and Vingo mano y mano. A death match. Vingo gains one second on Pogo.

July 15, 20232 yr From the reddit prediction thread for tomorrow lol Quote It’s another Vingo Pogi battle, everybody on edge going faster than ever. they climb and climb, eventually they hit the peak but keep climbing, into the sky, ripping a hole in space time they fuse together, creating vengaboy. Teleported to 1999 they find themselves climbing Alpe d'huez - they see him.. it’s Lance! Game on, they ride - but he is simply too strong. Everything seems lost, but then, in the distance they see a boney shadow. It’s GC Kuss - who’s been right behind them all this time. Elegantly he dances ahead of Lance and takes the stage.
July 16, 20232 yr What a ducking stage. Amazing Tour at stage 14. Jonas rode well today, really well. Maybe not the script JV had been taking up - they didn’t drop TP but Jonas limited the damage. Gonna be a great weekend.
July 16, 20232 yr 12 minutes ago, G650 said: Fucking spectator Fucking idiots. How much more close to the riders do you need to be? That shit is so dangerous and hopefully that doesn’t end up putting any riders out. Those things are hard to forget. Besides the recent ones like “sign lady,” I still vividly remember Thor Hushovd in a sprint finish wearing the yellow jersey getting lacerated by a spectator holding out one of those green PMU fans, and of course that Armstrong guy getting his handlers snagged on a spectators cheap musette in the way up Luz Ardiden. Kinda surprised we haven’t seen any significant jackassery or race interference involving drones.
July 16, 20232 yr Watching the replay literally everyone in that area was on the course side of the barriers. It's insane.
July 16, 20232 yr I think the people with the flares piss me off almost as much as anyone. Can you imagine struggling for air going up a 10% climb and sucking in a lung full of that crap.
July 16, 20232 yr LOL ... I'm old enough to remember when the cyclists (Hinnault) would fight the fans. Remember when Contador punched that guy?

July 16, 20232 yr Kuss is really hurt. What an effort. I think Pogo might be in yellow at the end of the day.
July 16, 20232 yr Just now, G650 said: Lol Yatesy Yeah wtf is he doing. He might show JV he can make a move.
July 16, 20232 yr Just now, Captain Ron said: Pogacar doesn’t look great. JV should see if he can gap him. He looked very off yesterday body language wise. Thousand yard stare and not his usual joie d vivre. Will have to see how the rest day treats him, but I have pretty much been skeptical he can last three weeks after his lack of prep. I still think the Col De la Loze is going to be the Tour.

July 16, 20232 yr Lots of twists and turns in the race. A few days Pogacar looked like it was just a matter of time before he took yellow. Now Vingegaard seems to have the answers for him. Week three is going to be interesting.

July 17, 20232 yr I think it is an advantage to go last in the race of truth, so Jonas holding on to yellow is a pretty big deal.
