Regulars for me include Independence Day and The Sandlot.

What else ya got?

How about Born on the Fourth of July?

It’s weird that there aren’t all that many Revolutionary War movies. There are more Civil War movies. At least that’s my impression. I haven’t compiled statistics. But that’s right, isn’t it?

Sounds right. I thought The Patriot was decent. Sort of like Braveheart in the Revolutionary War.

As mentioned, The Patriot is a decent popcorn flick about the war. Also:

Drums Along the Mohawk (1939) - Henry Fonda, Claudette Colbertt - Upstate NY obvs.

The Scarlet Coat (1955) - Story of Benedict Arnold

Johnny Tremaine (1957) - Disney flick, but historically accurate and a good primer for the times.

The Devil's Disciple (1959) - Douglas, Lancaster, Olivier - 'nuff said

April Morning (1988) - Battle of Lexington w/ Tommy Lee Jones

The Crossing (2003) - Jeff Daniels as Washington on the Delaware.

All For Liberty (2009) - A good flick that explores the Southern colonies dynamics.

The Patriot.  Yeah, we all hate Mel Gibson now, but it’s still a solid flick on ‘murica’s birthday.

Not really a 4th movie, but it seems like a good day to watch Easy Rider. Maybe it's the bike....

Turn: Washington's Spies is a fantastic series, IMHO.

Admittedly NOT really a one day show.

Great movie and a great American tale. Better suited for Mardi Gras.

But I’ll agree that any day is a good day to watch Easy Rider.

I’ll add this:

Toni oh Mickey, you’re so fine Basil is in Easy Rider.

And she got naked. And they actually dropped acid while filming it.

How about Miracle? That documented the dawn of the “USA! USA! USA!” chant.

Also, fuck Russia.
