Probably the board that fell off the least with the switch from Shaggy to Surly. 3,800 replies and counting for the Austin Regional, with 61,000 views and counting. Lot of people posting updates, lots of good mojo, and just a great fan presence on the thread overall. On top of that the MLB thread is great, the fantasy league is great, the MLB team threads are active, the UT series are threads are active, and on and on and on. Hands down the best sports board on this site, and ergo one of the better forums for talking about a specific sport out there, particularly among the sites built around college sports. 🤘🏼

The sport that has the most activity at this time of year happens to have the most posts?

this is a cool story bro.  how do you come up with so many cool stories?

With the ability to eternally edit thread titles, y’all might want to consider starting GAME threads.

Threads titles like:

Horns 7 vs Aggy 1 - BOT 6 - ESPN

of course you’d need a volunteer to edit the thread title periodically but it really adds value to the forum.

This can also be done during football season.

Just throwing that out there.

I’m sorry if that’s what you took from the OP, but it’s about a helluva lot more than that. Kind of funny that one of the things that makes the forum so great is the lack of posters like the one who liked your post. The baseball regulars  love the sport, are knowledgeable of the sport, they actually follow the sport closely, and the discussion is often flowing and on-point, as opposed so much of the hyper negative, reactive, after-the-fact, shit-talking, in-fighting type of posting which permeates the basketball and football forums. The dynamic on the Other Sports forum is more similar to that of the Baseball forum, but with way less participation, insight, and knowledge. The Baseball forum really stands out because of that.

The best part of the baseball board is that there can be a discussion with some banter, but people generally keep it between the lines. Seems like to me there are more posters who have obvious team affiliations, but love the game of baseball.

Now, due to this thread, the fuckheads and malcontents will, of course, head on over to ruin shit.

Thanks a lot, brother...

When Texas baseball is doing well the world is okay, global warming is just a season, peace is within our grasp and our kids are safe from gun violence.

Yes, but Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown is still dead, so I'm not going to get cocky about it.

You do realize there are actual apps and websites that report this information regularly and sometimes instantly? You can even get notifications pushed to your device on score changes. I know. It’s crazy.

Perhaps you’re right.  Wouldn’t want to hurt the business of those apps and websites.  No need to easily add value to this one.
