That was another bad one. I was joking about his comments after basically giving away Toussaint for cash. He made clear that he didn't grasp the excess value that teams got out of a guy's team controllable years.

That absolutely enraged me.
July 22Jul 22 Didn't read the comments, so don't know if the answer's in there. Who's the non-Hall guy? I guessed Ted Simmons, incorrect.
July 22Jul 22 I looked it up. Would never have gotten it. Benito was my only logical closest guess and he wasn't even that close
July 22Jul 22 Author McCann? He had that long streak of 20+ homers, but not sure how many he ended up with... Lance Parrish?
July 24Jul 24 Couple of days late but Javy Lopez would have been my guess for HRs. 260. Edited July 24Jul 24 by WBT
July 24Jul 24 I looked up Beau’s question, most will probably remember him from bloopers videos from the ‘80s with the Orioles.

July 31Jul 31 Author 7 guys have led MLB in doubles, triples, and HR at some point in their career: Spoiler Only one has also led in singles: Spoiler Cobb
July 31Jul 31 I havent looked at lists but i am guessing Red Sox heavy on the 7? I will return to see how big of dumbass i look like....

I will guess Hornsby for the singles

August 2Aug 2 Author Since we're probably going to have another this season... Who was the last pitcher to lose 20 games?
August 2Aug 2 I looked it up and I was right about the team and the year but I couldn't remember the guy's name...or his teammate's name that lost 19. There's been a 17, 18, or 19 game loser almost every year though. Maybe there's something to the hack baseball announcer cliche that you have to be pretty good for them to keep sending you out there to lose 20.
August 2Aug 2 Author Seems like every time someone gets close to 20, they get dropped into middle relief to avoid it. Except for this guy: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/marotmi01.shtml I suspect Senzatela will get dropped to the pen, too, especially after his start tonight. He did manage to not pick up his 15th L, though.
August 2Aug 2 so in the live ball era Ted Lyons lost 20 games in 1931 with a 2.05 ERA for the White Sox.

A 0.2 WAR losing 21 games is pretty impressive. and lol at Steve Sparks going 0-6 on that team in 42 appearances https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/DET/2003.shtml

August 4Aug 4 Quote Kyle Schwarber debuted in @MLB 10 years ago. Since 2015, only 3 players have hit more home runs than him. I deleted the names. One is easy, other two not as much.
