We're still talking about soccer, not marriage, right?

If either of us scores twice tonight, that’s a win.

Right after the game I had to go take a piss so I didn't burst once we got on the train.  Walking against the grain of the crowd coming towards me and I notice Claudio Reyna, in a suit, a phone to his

That. Was fucking. NUTS. Wildly frustrated that we couldn’t put more than one in with a man advantage, but my frustration didn’t appear to help them. My wife had a conflict, so I took one of my olde

Zardes had better contact with the Seattle keeper than the nifty pass from Ring.

Ugh. 25 completely forgettable and scoreless minutes into this, and I'm already debating staying awake for the second half.

Verde!

Finlay with a great position at the top of the box and strike.

1-nil Austin in the 35th

Rigoni needs to take that shot.
Yeah, not pass it to our non-existent striker.

Dammit... they're going to make me watch the second half, aren't they?

Nice. Finlay had all. Day. Long.  Zardes would have made that.  I think.
He almost made a meal of that pass with a zardes like first touch. Shot the ball out from under his feet. Turned it into a really awkward shot.

Verde!!

Zardes breaks his duck with a really nice header.

Dos a cero Austin in the 56th.

I mean…Zardes…it had to happen SOMETIME, right? I’ll take it. Lot of match to go…

All hands on deck defending here... need to get through this.

And there's one back. 2-1 in the 78th, and this isn't over yet.

Stuver is on fire tonight. Easily kept 4 sure goals out so far

And there's one back. 2-1 in the 78th, and this isn't over yet.

Not even close to over.

Come on, fuckers. Hold.

Bruin carded for a stupidly obvious dive. But wasted some time so.....

Stuver flapped at that one... got lucky, and we'll take it.

2-1 final.

No Driussi

No Wolff

No Cascante

No Redes

5 minutes of Fagundez

NO PROBLEM

Huge 3 points!

The one game this year I haven't watched..I sweater God. Looky there 1 point from a playoff spot.

They definitely worked hard last night, seemed to have some fire on em. Finally took advantage of a couple slim chances and cashed in. Let's get another Saturday!

That’s something my wife and I were talking about last match, after Redes got tossed: the rest of the match, they played with real piss and vinegar, which we hadn’t seen in a long time. It wasn’t a moral victory or anything like that, but it was a genuine sign of life. And you saw some more of that last night.

I have one extra ticket for tomorrow night's match, if any of y'all are interested.  Sec 118, row 9.

Anyone?

I promise I won’t act like an ass.

Or, I will. You choose.

Got the email this morning tickets were still available. Not a good sign.

Got here at 6:45 and walked up to Valentina’s with only 2 people in line. Seems like it’s getting better quickly though. I’m sure the bogus sellout streak will continue.

Season ticket holders bought their tickets a year ago. I don't what percentage are season ticket holders. Certainly helps the sell out numbers when season ticket holders renew at a 95% rate and two years on the waitlist.

So close so many times tonight

Unbelievable! Goooaaaaaallll!!!!!

They played really well. Ring had an incredible match.

They were killing me with two off the woodwork in the first half. SO many chances, no goals. And for them to come through in extra time was so clutch. The ball in from Ring was really well done, and Zardes was actually in the right place. I’m just glad we didn’t leave 3 points on the table. They were there, and we got em.

My bad - Lundkvist on that last cross. And holy crap, Lima damn near scored on the header, BACKWARDS, before Zardes gets it with the rebound. I like Nick, his shot off the crossbar was hot too.

His crosses have been excellent.  I am extremely pleased with that acquisition.

Really good signing. And part of why I continue to believe that if this club can get healthy, they’re objectively better than last year.

Agree that Lundkvist has shown some real value up the left side. I've been less impressed with him on the defensive end, but if we are moving to a back 3, that seems like less of a concern.

We played a great game defensively, and did enough on offense to get the win which is all that matters. I didn't look up xg, but it felt like we had a lot more clear chances in this match than in previous league outings.

I'm shocked that Toronto has the highest paid team in this league by a couple mil. They look so utterly mid, I think the announcers said something about them having a lot of injuries, so that might explain it.

I'm optimistic for working out way back into a playoff spot, but we have a long way to go before we can compete with any of the top teams.
