EPL - purple

Champ - gold

EFL 1 - gray

EFL 2 - red

National League - white

Who the fuck builds a table like that with most recent on the left?

also, that just made me realize that they will be facing 3 sides this next season that were in the prem this season. That’s weird.

Welcome to promotion and relegation.

The league has a lot of EPL experience in it, I was noting from that chart that 7 teams have been in the EPL in the last 5 years.

I just watched the first episode and a half - this team has got to slow down. I know they want to make the EPL, but they really need to build up their infrastructure. Like they note EPL teams have staffs of 1000's, Wrexham might hit 200 or so AT BEST.

I saw that, too and chuckled when they mentioned EPL-level players driving their Lambos past the Racecourse Ground.

20 minutes in. 1-nil to the Fighting Deadpools over Southhampton in the opening match of their Championship campaign.

Sorry yoladu.

No VAR in the Championship, or that one would've been looked at more closely.

Helluva equalizer by S'hampton in the 90th. Squeaky bum time for extended extra time as the home team has the momentum.

Welcome to Wrexham has spawned a spinoff: Necaxa, featuring Eva Longoria.

Spoiler

It’s a big meh

I wouldn't, fuck them.

If you haven't read it: https://defector.com/built-in-birmingham-cant-save-tom-brady-from-himself?giftLink=277a84c87e7015d330a17d634df129b8 (gift linked). The TL;DR - Brady is boring and the show just proves it. It has none of the interest of W2W (despite it's flaws in the seasons after the 1st).

Wrexham back at it tomorrow, hosting Hull at 145 Central.

Carabao cup...

After going up by 1, then down by two (3-1), Wrexham tied it up in regulation... and now we're direct to elimination penalties!

And Wrexham are through to Round 2 ... 5 from 5 from the spot with Hull clanging one off the crossbar as the difference.

... And @yoladu is happy. 96th minute. It was always coming. 2-1 Southampton.

At least they played pretty well. I really wish they could've gotten a point though.

One minute of gameplay in extra time to see 2 goals from Ollie Palmer. Unreal, when all hope seemed lost.

Man Hull blew that game the same way WAFC blew the first game.

EFL (Carabao) cup v Preston North End ... 1-nil to PNE in the 7th.

Holy crap what a goal by Wrexham.  That was a quality turn and upper 90 strike from distance by the new acquisition Hardie.

Ridiculously easy header from the corner kick.  PNE 2-1 in the 32nd.

Charlie Fox in front of the PNE goal, leads to an empty net tap-in in the 91st minute.  3-2 to the Fighting Deadpools.

With only a few minutes of stoppage, that just might do it today.

Win or lose today - it's pretty clear that Wrexham should have a single goal for this season - simply not getting relegated. They are a step down from the top teams, holding onto the Championship would be a good season.

Wrex to the 3rd round.  First time since 1981 for that level of progression.

I think they'll stay up, but man they have to learn to finish.

I agree they stay up, because they have smart owners. But I think the 4 in a row promotions might be a bit much now.

The level of skill between Milwall and this iteration of Wrexham is pretty obvious. Lucky to be scoreless at 37' ...

Milwall keeper just wasn't aggressive enough on the challenge, and Wrexham have the lead.

Extended injury time (Wrexham goalkeeper rib injury and substitute) and the Fighting Deadpools score a second in the 109th minute to seal their first victory of this Championship campaign.

Wrexham won their second game of the season today.

They are integrating the high priced players they signed late into the starting lineup which seems to have improved their play.

Maybe there's some hope for the club yet!

I still can’t believe they have a guy named Windass.   Windass had a brace today too.

Josh Sargent lost to Wrexham.

Tombstone:

Played in a World Cup and lost to Wrexham fewer than 35 months later.

2-0 win today over Reading in the League Cup. Broadhead with the brace. First time in the 4th round for 48 years.

Big game today as Wrexham hosts Haji Wright and first place Coventry.

Hat trick from Kiefer Moore gives Wrexham all 3 points. 3-2 win at home.

Edit to add: hadn't realized that Coventry was unbeaten in the league. Moore had a perfect hat trick, right + left + header. Windlass with the hat trick of assists

Up to 10th in the league now. Only 5 points behind Stoke/Middlesbrough for the 2nd automatic promotion spot.

Decided to book a trip to Istanbul and Cairo and happened to book a stop in Wrexham on the way. Looking forward to the April 18 match
