I went and looked at the standings - there is no way they are winning the league. Very little chance for a top 2 automatic promotion. But the playoff isn't out of the question.

Got a draw today. Had a chance to watch and their finishing was trash.

Playoff is very achievable as they are only 6 points back from Ipswich and Hull.

Halfway pole I believe. Solidly mid table at 13 of 24.  7 points from 3rd position, but 9 points up on relegation position.  Feels like a tight spread save Coventry at the top and Sheffield Wednesday at the bottom.

Just stay up this year then put that Apollo money to work in the offseason. They will get to the EPL. Heck, if they can put that money to work in the upcoming transfer window they can make a run.

Don't they need significant investment in infrastructure to stay up even in the Championship?

#1107

Yes. There was no way that Ryan and Rob would be able to finance the club alone even at the Championship level. There is no way the EPL would be within reach without additional money. A number of videos have broken this down.

The new investment makes total sense.

And yes the infrastructure lacked seriously. That was a talking point in last season’s show.
