I might be seeing things, but I'm pretty sure he used Salma Hayek as the model for his version of the painting in the original artwork.  It could just be something he found:

I believe that photo, which sparked so much Texas homesickness in my youth, especially while toking up with a bad case of munchies, is the iconic image for misplaced Texans everywhere. It should be required study by all Texas youth in grades 7 and 12.
