Looks awesome until you realize there are 8 blades spinning incredibly fast with no safety cage around them. The chance that some kid or other onlooker walks into one or otherwise gets Ninja blendered by one is 100%.

The darker the berry, the sweeter the juice, or something.

Explanation of what's going on from the comments: "The electricity arc between the tower and the hotdog vibrates in the same way a speaker would, making the sound."

Shocked that no one put their wiener on the tower as a dare.

We saw a SpaceX rocket streak across the dusk sky leaving contrails behind. It looked like a fireball from Street Fighter.

What was more interesting to me was how the winds in the upper atmosphere dispersed the contrails.

Because he said they were high and fast?

Don’t ask those kinds of questions unless you want to go down a black hole.

The white ones don't fly as fast.

And can’t get to the same altitude. The white helicopters are more “coach on the field,” “sneaky fast,” “lunch pail” type helicopters.

saw this on reddit where they claimed the ad was from 1947. If legit, that's only like $370K in todays dollars.

Not sure, but best representation I've seen of what it actually looks like in totality. Every video or picture I've found does not do it justice. Other than the detail on the Moon's surface (It was solid black), that is what it looked like to the naked eye. You can see all the corona detail and could pick out loops of solar flares that were pink. It's shocking.

What the fuck. I know what im doing this weekend.

There was in interurban that ran right from Dallas to Waco. Must've been nice.

P51's on an ACC?  What's the backstory?

Transporting them across the Pacific to airbases close to the WW2 operations.

So that would have been pretty dangerous? Could they have fit in the elevator to take them below? And no way to launch planes for ship defense.

Navy historian wonks should be able to answer your questions.

Based on AB’s post it looks like WW2 was over, so no need to defend.

I guess in a pinch you could push half of them off the ship and launch the rest. But if these were going through contested areas, they'd have escort ships
