Billy Wilder mildly amused at your notions.

The Lost Weekend (1945)

Sunset Boulevard (1950)

Ace in the Hole (1951)

Stalag 17 (1953)

Sabrina (1954)

The Seven Year Itch (1955)

Witness for the Prosecution (1957)

Some Like it Hot (1959)

The Apartment (1960)

One, Two, Three (1961)

The Fortune Cookie (1966)

Every single one is a classic and that isn't close to a complete list.

One Two Three is underrated

If we're talking about a 3 picture run, I'll submit David Lean.
The Bridge on the River Kwai - 1957
Lawerence of Arabia - 1962
Doctor Zhivago - 1967
DZ was MGM's second highest grossing movie of 1967 behind the Sound of Music, after being panned by critics.

Pretty good list.

I wonder if any younger people even know about the movie “Bridge on the River Kwai”.

That is greatness

My favorite scene is Marko and Vasili chopping it up about Montana.

Second favorite scene is the Crazy Ivan.

I could go on. Goddamn, every scene is great.

I am 36 but my father made sure that was shown to me as a child.
