October 16, 20223 yr Check out the ranked v. ranked games next week. Big 12 has 2 and the SEC only has 1 - interesting. No. 14 Syracuse at No. 5 Clemson. No. 20 Texas at No. 11 Oklahoma State. No. 9 UCLA at No. 10 Oregon. No. 24 Mississippi State at No. 6 Alabama. No. 17 Kansas State at No. 8 TCU.

October 23, 20223 yr Surprised we are #26 in both polls. Top 3 loss team.If you accept for argument’s sake that OSU was the 11th best team of the country as of yesterday - I don’t at all buy that given their injury situation, but we’re talking about the poll - then #20 going on the road and losing the game on the last possession shouldn’t really hurt #20. That pretty much vibes with where you had both teams ranked, right? Why does South Carolina beating aggy or any other game impact that? In that sense, it’s dumb that Texas is unranked.Note I’m not necessarily arguing that Texas should be ranked. I think you can list the teams from about 5 or 6 to 30 in pretty much any order and be accurate on a given week. It’s just one of those years.
October 23, 20223 yr Meh, I root for almost assuredly the worst 6-2 team in the country (they'll probably only win one more), so getting only 1 AP vote seems about right to me.

Yeah, but given the point gap between us and South Carolina, I don't see us creeping back into the top 25 after the off week (not that it matters). It'll come down to the KSU game. The trend for us this year has been: two weeks unranked, two weeks ranked, two weeks unranked, two weeks ranked, and now back to unranked. So if that trend continues, it could mean we will beat KSU!

Because if QE struggles I doubt Sark will look up from his playbook to see what’s happening on the field when the third quarter starts trending down for us.

October 24, 20223 yr I REALLY want Clemson to lose. What a tragedy if they sneak into the playoffs undefeated out of a trash ACC.
October 30, 20223 yr Week 10 AP https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-college-football-poll An Ohio state university and the other UT tied for #2. It feels like that does not happen often.
October 30, 20223 yr Kind of thought Texas was going to sneak back into the poll sitting at 26 last week.

This Saturday at Notre Dame might be best shot to see Clemson lose before a possible ACC Championship game. If Clemson goes undefeated, they are likely in the playoffs, even though they are not deserving of a Top 4 ranking.

October 30, 20223 yr I wonder how much CBS paid to get Tennessee ranked #2 so they can have a top two matchup vs. Georgia this weekend
October 31, 20223 yr First CFP rankings come out tomorrow night. I would not be surprised to see Tennessee #1.
October 31, 20223 yr My little CFP predictor has it OSU, Tenn, UGA, Michigan in that order. It would not be shocking at all to see Tenn #1. TCU checks in at 6, KSU 10, Texas at 25.

October 31, 20223 yr Can we sneak in and make our 12th ever appearance in the CFP top 25? I'd say probably not unless we beat KSU. We've never been higher than 14th either. http://www.collegepollarchive.com/football/cfp/appearances-total.cfm#.Y2AEY3bMJD8 Edited October 31, 20223 yr by LonghornSean
November 1, 20223 yr IMO Tennessee will and should be #1. I think UGA 2, but Ohio State there and UGA 3 would not surprise me. I'm thinking Clemson 4. TCU is likely a spot or two higher than they are in the AP. I'll hang up and listen.

November 1, 20223 yr Horseshit that 2 loss LSU is #10. And SC has NO signature win except for a squeaker they BARELY pulled off on the road at a decent, not great, Oregon St team. Fuck all that.
