I'm sure the committee is itching to put LSU in the top 4 to replace the loser of Ohio State/Michigan after they get a hard fought SECSECSEC road win over 4-8 A&M this weekend. Yeah. LSU ahead of USC and Tennessee is ridiculous (for those of you who don't remember, Tennessee beat them 40-13 in Baton Rouge mid-season). I'd rate Clemson ahead of them. Clemson, besides having one less loss actually beat Florida St.

Man..Your timing is worse than mine. If you are going to try to cap on the internet get your shit together. Look at the date of my post..shit changes week to week. When I posted that, USC had not played UCLA and Oregon State(ranked 21, LOL) was not even ranked. When having these type of discussions it's best to stay current as much as possible. That way you don't look like the clown that you are. BTW, Ole Miss is still ranked higher than Oregon St(LOL).
November 26, 20223 yr Author This would be a great year for 8 team playoff. With Clemson dropping after their loss today, it seems like the new #5 through #8 could beat anyone in the Top 4 spots.
November 26, 20223 yr It's gonna be brutal for TCU if they go 9-0 in conference but slip up in the Big 12 title game and that keeps them out of the playoff, when in 2014 the lack of a Big 12 title game kept them out. Frankly I think they should get in either way, provided it's a close loss next week. And of course I would love for Texas to be the one delivering that loss.
November 26, 20223 yr Those cocksuckers from OSU surely will go above those cocksuckers from Bama, right? Right?

November 26, 20223 yr Assuming the current 4-7 win I would expect an ohio state university to be 6 in the next rankings.

November 26, 20223 yr Presuming they win out, that looks like Georgia, Michigan, TCU, and USC to me. If LSU beats UGA, that might open a can of worms.

November 27, 20223 yr Yeah, more losses would definitely move things around. LSU and Ohio State both got worked at home. Alabama lost on walkoffs on the road.
November 27, 20223 yr UGA, Michigan and TCU are in win or lose next week. USC in with a win. Williams wins the Heisman.

TCU would still have one quality win and one quality loss vs a top 10 KSU if they lose next week. I don't think a close loss by TCU should automatically plummet them in the rankings, but I know that's exactly what would happen. Ohio State isn't getting another shot at Michigan and at some point the way you lost needs to count as much as the quality of the opponent. Getting dominated at home in the last week of the season should be a huge red flag on any team's resume, regardless of opponent. I feel dirty saying this, but I would vote Alabama #5 right now.

TCU drops to #6 and Alabama or Ohio State backdoors their way in as the #4 seed. It's entirely brand/ratings-driven bullshit. If Texas or Oklahoma had the exact same resume as TCU they would be considered a CFP lock no matter what happens in their CCG like Georgia and Michigan are, but that's how this sport works. Selfishly, I'd be happy with this outcome despite disliking it at a macro-level because it would benefit USC as long as USC takes care of business against Utah. I'd rather be the 3 seed playing 2 seed Michigan in Phoenix instead of the 4 seed playing 1 seed Georgia in Atlanta.

November 28, 20223 yr Michigan is the closest analog on the planet to Texas so I root for them second always. I would probably root for TCU over Georgia & USC because underdogs. I would absolutely root for TCU over Ohio State & Alabama because fuck those schools. Also if TCU somehow pulls off the miracle they will leap frog aggy because right now TCU's last title was 1938 where the gomers are 1939. I think that bit of a knife twist would be fun.
